Searos throws his hands up and decides to head around to a side of the shed out of view of the door so when it opens he can come up behind the gnolls.

Echo looks to Brax for a moment, raising an eyebrow at her command. "And when did you become the fearless leader?" Echo asks, her arms crossing over her chest.

Gunter approaches the shed with Searos, looking to see if there are any signs of footprints that might lead to/away from the shed that wouldn't be child-sized.

There are many footsteps all over the place, testimony to the fact that there were children playing hide-and-seek. However, close to the door, where someone would stand waiting for a comrade to open the door, Gunter notices a stain that looks like blood, a few hours old. If he looks around, there are a few more drops in the general direction of the old mansion.

"No one, I was simply suggesting a way forward. I would not dare to try to lead the Great Echo." Brax grins, turning away from the Mage. She watches the Shed with a hint of boredom in her movements, shifting from foot to foot.

Martin rolls his eyes as he eases his rapier out of its sheath and holds it behind his back, then walks to the shed door and knocks, calling out: "Candy for Mongo."

If anything other than a human being opens the door, or even if a human answers but is dangerous-looking, he will back away quickly then run like a rabbit. But not like a scared rabbit, mind you. More like an angry rabbit, one who has another fight to go to and is running late.

No one answers the door. But as Drake is listening carefully, he hears soft sounds of movement.

Vee follows Drake, a little annoyd that Drake has stolen her role as just-act-careless.

After a few secons of silence she asks Drake: "should we open the door?"

Martin again knocks, again - four more raps. Then again, but this time instead of knocking four times he knocks twice and pulls the door open on the third count, stepping back out of the line of the doorway as he does so and saying: "Bwaaah!"

Vee stood just far enough away not to get the door in her face as it opened.

Looking in, she sees nothing at firs, because the inside of the shed is much darker than the bright day outside. When her eyes adjust, she sees a gnoll standing there, his battle axes ready to defend himself, but not attacking. Next to him, another one is sitting on the ground, looking clearly the worse for wear, but clutching his axe nevertheless. They definitely look familiar.

The gnolls they encountered before attacked immediately, ignoring Amon's attempts to parley entirely. And yet, these gnolls--he wonders if they are the same ones--seem to hesitate. Stepping forward before Drake could do anything stupid (further), he speaks up. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" he asks in their native language.

Brax stays behind, she sits on the grass and watches the shed with a mixture of interest and concern.

"We are seeking shelter" the standing gnoll answers simply.
"Be careful, those are the people we fought!" the sitting one tells his comrade, recognising Vee.

"We will not harm you, unless you give us reason to," Amon assures them. "Why did you not go with the other smugglers when they fled?" he asks in Gnollish.

Echo steps forward, looking over Amon's shoulder to see what exactly is going on. "They look hurt all ready," she says.
