"It's pretty damned big," Gimak comments. "I suppose if several us work together, we can move it outside."

Gimak's assertion proves correct, the bat's wingspan is easily five paces and it's as tall as most of the group. Luckily it weighs little, but its large wings have a tendency to get tangled and moving through the debris is a challenge on its own.

"You can't really search the rafters when there is no way to get up there," Raina says to Elianna with a shake of her head. "Besides, that bat wasn't here when we were searching the area. It just flew in at some point after we searched."

Once the bat is taken care of, Gimak returns to his watch so the others can get back to sleep.

Before getting back to sleep, Eringard asks Maria: "Do you have any spells left to defend yourself? If not, let me know, I can call the protection of Lathander upon you so that no one can harm you as long as you do not attack anyone."

"I am cursing myself for not checking the hole in the wall." She explains, "I saw it was a problem. and ignored it." Moving towards the hole in the wall, "Gimak, do you have any suggestions to block this hole?"

Maria happily bounds away from Jain, but not before showing him a rude gesture she must have learned back at the Old Skull Inn. Smiling up at Eringard she says, "I can protect myself! It's one of the first things I was taught how to do." She mimes a wall in front of her, "It's a magical shield, but it can't stop everything. Just things in front of me."

"Not much we can do for a hole that size," Gimak says. "We'll just have to keep an eye on it."

"Well, if none of you object, I'm going to go back to sleep," Raina said as she sat back down, and curled up.

"The we keep an eye on it." Elianna says with a nod to the dwarf. "Yes you should all sleep."

(Do we have two leavers now?.)

Eringard rises an eyebrow in surprise. "You must be very powerful for a mage that young, most I've met could only cast a spell each day. Sleep well then, and let us hope we're not in for any more surprises this night."

The party beds down again for the night without having lost too much sleep, but adrenaline and the creeping feeling of vulnerability make it difficult to return to resting. Traern joins the group in their clearing, which helps to make things feel a bit safer.

You awake to find that it rained during the night, the keep's roof having kept you mostly dry though your mounts did not enjoy their time in the wet and cold. Over a semi-warm breakfast of porridge and dried fruit, Jain Longleague addresses Traern, "What brings a follower of Shevarash to these lands? We ride for Dagger Falls today, if you would join us. We," he shoots the rest of the group a glance that tells them he does not intend to be part of the 'we', "seek to end the Dream Fever. As a neutral party your perspective would be most... illuminating." A coin dances along Jain's fingers.

Meanwhile the sun rises to a mostly-cloudless sky, though the chill remains for now. Maria is surprisingly responsible and prepared in tidying up her thing for one so young, though she does chatter to herself as though having a conversation with someone who isn't there. Seraphina is her usual stoic self keeping a watchful eye on the group, she leaves the main group to watch the sun rise.

Elianna watches Maria for a few minutes, a little smile crossing her face as she readies her gear.

"Indeed, your help would be most appreciated." she says to Traern, agreeing with Jain.

With a smile, eringard had followed seraphina outdorrs just before sunrise. stqanding behind the halfling, she pays her tribute to Lathander.

(spells were not used, so it's still CLW 2x, sanctuary, plus of course the specialist light 3x))
