"You don't have any control over that web spell," Jocelyn points out. "If you trap it, you most likely block anything that might be behind it," she explains. "We have to be able to move around the room to search for the things that we need to get."
"I have control over where I place it" Ouragana replies, somewhat hotly. "If we're lucky, it's in a corner, and we can search a lot of the room. If we're unlucky, it's right at the entrace, and the room is blocked. That would give us time to make more plans, and I can dispel the web when we need to. The flaming sword can cut it, too."
Ouragana bends to the keyhole and tries to see what is in the room behind it.
"If it's at the entrance, you could wait for it to come out, then cast the spell, trapping it in the hall. In a manner that doesn't prevent our own entry, of course." Dahn offers.
"I also have a spell that could blind it," Thaddeus says. "I've never used it on a devil before, but...I assume they have optical organs like we do and thus can be blinded."
Kaakos shrugs. "No idea. But it does have eyes, so there's that."
Ouragana meanwhile, storms from the library and into the hall, walking to upper door on the eastern end of the hall with the diamond keyhole. She peeks inside and sees...darkness. There appears to be no light source inside the room. However, listening carefully she does hear what sounds like the rattling of chains coming from within.

Ouragana makes a detect noise check [TN 15%] (1d100): 3, pass.
"If we go with that idea, then we have to lure it out into the hall. What are the chances of it actually following one of us?" Jocelyn asks. "The devil might be mad, but I assume it is intelligent. It would probably know what we are trying to do."
Ouragana comes rushing back. "I tried to peek throught the keyhole, but it's all dark there" she tells the others. "But I heard the rattling of chains. I guess it's the planetar that's chained up, isn't it, Kaakos?" she asks the imp. Without really waiting for an answer, she turns to Thaddeus. "Do we have a means to break the chains and free the planetar? It would probably be a powerful ally."
"Hopper is in the vault?!? We must hurry up. Can he breath there?" Baeros asks. "Hmm... I know I don't usually uses hammers to fight, but if that's the best weapon against him I volunteer to try it against the devil. Jocelyn," Baeros looks at her for the first time since their awkward embrace but his eyes full of longing, "You can distract him with turning, I'll run for the hammer and try to knock him down and Ouragana will watch over us. If the situation goes badly trap him in the web so we can retreat. Kaakos, you said we need a lot of magic bestowed on the weapons to harm it. Does it also goes for spells? Do you think Web can catch it? One more thing. Ouragana, you said it's dark in there. Maybe he can see in darkness so throw your light coin in the room. Without it we have no chance against him. And lastly, Kaakos, do you think he is aware of us? Were you aware of us? And... hmm... will your need to get out of this place or be one's familiar be stronger than your fear of the devil and your instinct to betray us in turn for your life?" Baeros asks suspiciously.
Thaddeus considers Ouragana's question. "I suppose it depends on the setup. I have an acid spell that might burn through the chains. If there's a lock, perhaps someone can pick it."
To Baeros, Kaakos replies, "Devils are resistant to magic, but not immune to it. Ya might get lucky and trap it. And he shouldn't know you're here...unless you do something to let him know, like make a big racket." He shrugs. "My life ain't in any danger. As long as the anchor is in place, I can't be killed neither, I'd just start regenerating. Not that I'd want to be tortured by that thing in there. But I got no reason to betray you to him."
"Baeros, I use a hammer," Jocelyn says to Baeros. "So I would have the best chance to hit it. I'm going to need those that can fight the best to defend me. That means we can't have you running off to grab the hammer. I'm going to have to grab the hammer. Though, the rest of the group that isn't defending me needs to free the plantar and find the key."
