Sims voice echoes from the center of the room.
" I heard that martin!" Sim wanders to get a closer look at the jungle mural, rubys glittering in the blue white mage light "I am a Wizard after all, no sence listening to me where there's magic involved. What would I know about spell craft and sourcerors tricks, Hmmm?"
Snickerpuss echoes a chirp of caution to which Sim delightedly responds, "quite so my girl, little to fear here. That Wolf is nothing but a sheep in dogs clothing. I tell you, that hound is only trying to goad us into killing ourselves so it can feast! Well, I'll not be food for a Carrion Crow!"
As Sim speaks he taps the Jungle mural for emphasis.

*From within the garden mural, a snake begins to slither its way out of the picture, dropping onto the floor near Bjarg's feet. It is a simple garter snake with diamond eyes; as with the black snake, it simply crumples into green dust, leaving the two 1" round diamonds for the taking.*
(OOC - Since Esse and Bjarg both touched the same mural; they need to decide who gets the diamonds, or split them)
*Slowly it descends from a jungle tree, tongue flickers for a taste of Sim's scent, the ruby eyes gleam with hunger. The massive python makes its way out of the picture, onto Sim's shoulders; its intent to wind around the mage's body, crush the life from him, and down a meal.....scrawny as it is.*

Esse grabs both diamonds, throwing one at Bjarg "You can use it to shower me with gifts"
Stepping over to Sim, she thinks for a second, noting the ruby eyes of the snake, her eyes go to the ruby in the hilt of the short sword... "What do you think?"
She draws it and points the blade menacingly at the Python

Bjarg reacts quickly and drops his shield and club. Dashing towards the mage he grabs the python behind the head and begins to throttle it as he attempts to pull it from Sim's shoulders.

Sim lets out a strangled yelp while Snick Squeels in alarm and leaps atop Sims head. There she stands her ground, hissing at the snake and preparing to leap on its back.
Sim backs away from Esse's sword while trying to brush the Python from his shoulder then leaps to the side as Bjarg charges him. He yelps as Snick diggs her tiny claws into his scalp.

Esse waves the sword at the snake, IF Bjarg can pull it free and get it away from Sim, she'll attempt to drive the blade into the snakes head. [Roll: 14]
"Hold it still, I think this weapon is the key" she mutters to Bjarg.
[ooc] she's not proficent with the weapon, but as an elf she gets +1 to hit with a shortsword, thaco 19 adjusted [/ooc]
If he can't free the snake, and it appears to be strangling Sim she'll sheave the sword in her belt and attempt to help Bjarg.

*Bjarg's battling with the python forces additional weight upon the frail mage, forcing him onto his knees. The snake's tail, though not fast, but heavy, slaps against Esse's body, sending her backwards and causing her to drop the sword.*
(OOC - basically, Sim is now underneath the snake and Bjarg. The snake is 15 feet and weighs 200 lbs.)

"Nonsense is good fun, but large snakes coming out of a good painting can be equally entertaining." Beillion moves towards the short sword to pick it up for an attack on the snake. If another person beats him to it, he draws his own weapon! (( 17 To Hit )) Although, he has to both move and draw his weapon. So, he is not likely getting an attack on this round.

Snickerpuss, fearing for Sim's life (though her own life is in danger her love for Sim is greater), Chirps an angry snarl and leaps upon the back of the snake. She bares her needle sharp teeth and prepares to bite the snake. If it reacts by lunging at her she is prepared to finish her attack with two claw swipes at it's eyes.
((rolled a 17 bite/4 claw/1 claw to hit))

It's sort of my job..." Martin mutters in response.

Martin fishes in his shoulder bag for a sack. He doesn't have one big enough to hold a snake of this size, but he does have one big enough for its head. If it hasn't bitten Sim yet, and if Bjorg has a good grip on the head, Martin will slip the bag over the snake's head, preventing it from biting and providing a better grip.

Esse stands, stunned for a brief moment. Seeing the jester place the bag over the snakes head she'll step forwards pull bjarg to his feet and grab one end of the snake.
"we should be able to lift this. We lift it and cut the bugger in two"

Bjarg grunts with the effort of holding a writhing snake of this size, "Why would we cut the damn thing in TWO! Remove the head! REMOVE THE HEAD!"

*Snickerpuss, because of her miniscule size, does no damage to the snake, nor does it get the creature's attention. She is, however, squashed up against Sim as the beast continues to lift its head out of Bjarg's grasp; its body writhing, rolling and slamming against Sim (who takes 4HP of damage).*
*Beillion is able to retrieve the sword that Esse dropped, but Sim or Bjarg could be hit, if he decides to strike at the snake. His aim must be precise because of all the movement.*
*Martin manages to pull the bag over.....Bjarg's head, but the fighter continues to hold onto the snake itself.*

"
Well, THIS won't do," Martin says, removing the bag from Bjarg's head. "
If only I had a raspberry. Perhaps I could adapt one of those lessons from Python about how to defend against fresh fruit to using fresh fruit do defend against a python..."
No need for a new plan, even though this one didn't work the first time. Try it again.

Snickerpuss tries to riggle free from the snake and the hard place she has found herself in.
Sim, gasping for breath and being crushed beneath the weight of the snake, channels the raw magical energy that is a Wild Mages ability. (this will cause him to lose the Web spell he had prepared), praying now that a powerful surge would ensue and somehow release him from this nightmare.
