CH 10: The Tharkadan Towers

[Kafen]

"Yes, we should move on." Tas prompts the group. He looks at Gilthanas. "I would advise that you stick with us even we are a bit silly. The dragonmen would be much harder on you."

[Jerrard]

Sturm follows the Elf, moving her to one side he looks at her sternly. "Laurana, your actions were rash, we have a task to complete." He says patting her on the shoulder. "Please focus on that, you cannot kill the whole army on your own."

[JadedDM]

Gilthanas shakes his head. "I hope, for the sake of our people and the humans of this land, you know what you are doing," he says. "But don't expect me to throw my life away for your vanity."

Laurana finds Riverwind's bow badly damaged from the acid, but still intact and capable of firing.

(ooc: Strange I was expecting to have to respond to something else....)

"I am relying on my instincts, nothing more." She says as she returns after placing the Bow in her quiver, "Don't take them yet Caramon." She says grabbing the Warriors Arm.

"Where are the prisoners kept? Those that were taken?" She squares up to one of the Kapaks, her voice level. "We will not kill you, if you tell us."

[JadedDM]

The kapak shrugs. "I don't process the prisoners. The guys downstairs do that. But if your friends were taken captive, they were probably put to work if they're men."

[Kafen]

Tas briefly ponders the nature of the universe as the Powers That Be await the future.

[Jenara]

"Put to work? Below?" Laurana asks, pressing close to the creature, before turning away once more.

"I fear perhaps I have made a mistake.." The Elven Princess admits turning to the Group, "Our friends are not up here, I have lead you wrong, please Sturm, Riverwind.." She shudders, "My own foolishness as lead us here.. I will follow your lead."

[Jerrard]

"Laurana, you are inexperienced, we will return below, taking this creature with us, he knows where people would be put to work I am certain." Sturm pats her shoulder, giving her some support. "Riverwind, lead on with Tas, down the stairs."

[Nuke]

"Alright, down we go." Riverwind meets up with Tas as the advance group down.

[Kafen]

Tas takes lead where he keeps fifteen feet ahead. There, he plays the sneaky role while searching out sounds for unseen bad guys.

The party travels back down into the basement, taking their two prisoners with them (Caramon carrying the unconscious one over his shoulder). Fortunately, the acid remains of the fallen evaporate, leaving no evidence that they were ever here in the first place.

Once down in the tunnels, Caramon and Eben tie up the two prisoners and stick them with the others. "Well, that's all my rope," Eben says.

"I still have these, at least," Gilthanas mentions, gesturing to the manacles that had once held him.

"Where to now?" asks Tika.

[Kafen]

"Slaves?" Tas offers cheerfully.

[Jenara]

"Slaves would be underground, why didn't I think of it before." Laurana curses, "We should go South, down the corridor."

"If we come across those who aren't a threat, we leave them.." She adds.

[Breila]

"Corridor? Which corridor? I must confess I am lost" Goldmoon says.

[Jerrard]

"Yes, Underground, that is where they would be." Sturm responds "I believe Laurana means the tunnels we just passed." Sturm leads them to passage beside room #39.
