Ignoring his dropped long sword, Baeros continues to fight with his short sword. However, neither he nor his loyal hound can break through the creature's otherworldly hide. Jocelyn tries her best to defend herself, but it's futile. Nothing short of the power of Octhanus will stop this creature from slicing her to shreds.
Well, divine intervention or a very pissed off half-orc. Val had been stunned twice now by these godsforsaken creatures. And her masterwork trident can barely scratch them up. How much gold had she spent on this weapon? And it was as useless as a toothpick against this damned frog thing.
Her anger fueling her, Val backs up a bit then runs and leaps at the beast, throwing her own weight and the force of gravity into her next strike. The trident's prongs all stab through the monster's hide and keep going. The monster is thrown to the ground, pinned by the orc's weapon. It shrieks in hideous pain, before its entire body vanishes in a flash of smoke and light.

What are the odds of rolling two 20s in a row? One in four hundred? I guess someone was due a lucky streak after several rounds of everyone missing.)
