CH. 8: Reunion

"I...ugh," Jocelyn says, looking a little disgusted now that she knows what was on Arei's mind. "So then, what reason do you have to believe a word that I've said to you?" she asked curiously. She knew that she didn't kill Ethan, but Arei didn't know that for sure.

Seeing that neither Jocelyn nor Areilon pays her any attention, Ouragana walks back to the inn and studies Web and Sleep.

[Jenara]

"Why the look of disgust? Surely you knew it wasn't just you, he was a womaniser.. I know he had other women while he was with me.." She responds, voice level. "But that doesnt answer that question, there are a number if reasons, the island for one, and the spiders.. They are two reasons, We have been through bad experiences, things that pull you together as a group."

"He was a charming rogue, a man like that makes enemies.. Frankly I think you don't have it in you to murder anyone." She winks, standing she puts a hand on the Clerics arm.

"I knew he had other women," Jocelyn says as she pulls back her arm. "It is just...the fact that we shared the same man is...not a great idea to me," she admits. "In the meantime, we don't know where the ship is. The best idea is to wait for the next person to come and kill me, capture that person, and then get the information out of them," she explains. "We can decide what to do with that information once we get it."

[Jenara]

"It wouldn't be the first time I've shared someone." She shrugs, "Regardless, I believe you are right, I could get a message over to the Bullring, and see if they know where she might be, other than that... we wait."

[HorizonsDream]

"Then, I guess that means you want to find Andar," Jocelyn says. "I have to warn you, if you are looking for a relationship with him, you aren't going to get much."

[Jenara]

"I was... I was a bitch last time I saw him, I need to make up for that." she blushes. "Anything else.." she shrugs, "Doesn't really matter."

[HorizonsDream]

"I wouldn't say you were a bitch," Jocelyn says. "You were just insensitive to what had happened to him. I've spent months with him trying to get him to open up, and I consider him a friend," she points out seriously. "As a result, I'm going to be protective of him, so if you continue being insensitive to what happened to him, be sure that I will step in."

[Jenara]

"I was wrong.." She blushes widely, her whole face a mass of red. "I won't be doing that I can assure you, I have a heart."

[Nuke]

"Pastor Jocelyn IS my friend, and, no she is human." Van looks at her quarry, then to the other human. "I will agree, if he agrees to be bound."

[BishGada]

"There is no need for him to be bounded. He seems tired enough and he won't outrun us both. Besides Takit can watch over him." With that Baeros gives two sharp whistles and his dog Takit immediately appears at his side. "If he will only just as move his fingernails in a manacing way, Takit will tear off his throat. No one here would like that, would we?" Baeros says to the human looking carefully at his reaction. Then Baeros points at the human and says to Takit a single word that sound like Tootsan.

"Now I've just happened to escort my employer, who waits near by, to the village myself, so why won't we all just move ahead... And the sooner the better."

The man waits for Baeros to turn his back on him, then he flicks his wrist so that the dagger hidden in his sleeve drops into his hand, and then plunges it into the ranger's back. However, the armor is thick enough to stop the dagger from going in deep enough to penetrate the skin, and so does no damage at all to Baeros.

Baeros, feeling the dagger tug, is a little bit surprised, but with years of experience, he manages to recover and tries to turn and slash with his drawn sword at the attacker while shouting to his dog Takit the command for attack, "Petsek".

Val, waiting for just such an action, swings her trident sideways looking to brain the assassin

The ranger, the half-orc and the dog all attack, but the assassin nimbly evades every single attack. "You'll never take me alive!" he swears, brandishing his dagger.
