Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
{OOC: I don't know if it's just me that's bad with names, but it really is helpful if a post contains the name of the character that is talking.}
After listening to any responses from the acolytes, the dwarf faces Drav.
"Well, Drav," Naras replies, "I've only been here for about a couple of weeks, and it is my initiative to build the armoursmith workshop. These things typically take four to six weeks to build and commission, so there we are. Right now we don't have an armouer either, but if Gonto wills it, I shall try to take on that mantle in a month or two . Unless someone more capable desires the task, of course."

Baeros heads out to the Paragon while the others stay and talk. Otaya and Leena leave to perform their given tasks.

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
"Let me deal with Baeros if he gets all bent out of shape because I told you two I don't need bodyguards," Jocelyn says. She turns to Naras, and simply shrugs in answer to her question. "It is a long story that involves pirates out for my life," she explains. "It is nice that they want to make sure I'm protected, but I don't need to be watched all the time. It makes me feel a little uneasy. Anyway, if you are looking for Thaddeus, he is on the Bullring, where Oura and I are headed."
Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Naras replied, "Thank you, Pastor. I shall go there to look for him after I have been to see the smith with Drav. Should you require any help from me to try and deal with pirates, I would be pleased to try and assist."
Turning to the other fellow, she asks, "Drav, are you ready to go?" and accompanies him to the Smithy (that he seeks).
(If that is the Blacksmith's place then Naras will continue on to the weaponsmith's shop.)

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
On her way to the ship, Ouragana starts thinking. Where did she leave the cursed book? and the other book they found? Oh yes, they still must be with Thaddeus. she doesn#t really remember where Thaddeus was from and where his fiancée (wince) lived, but she doubted it would be Narin. So Thaddeus was most likely still in his cabin aboard the ship.
She goes there and knocks at the door.

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Naras heads for the weaponshop, while Ouragana and Jocelyn return to the ship.
As expected, Thaddeus is in his cabin, in deep study. When he answers the door, he winces a bit at the sudden sunlight flooding into his room.
Suffice to say, he's a bit put off by what they have to tell him. "You volunteered me for a very onerous task without even consulting me?" he asks, sounding a bit hurt at the idea. "I don't know if you realize how draining that particular spell is; it leaves me bedridden for twenty four hours after casting it. I already lost a full day of research after I cast it for Val..," he says. "I'm glad to hear Ouragana is no longer cursed, but I don't really have the time right now. Perhaps Ouragana can, now that she has recovered."
Ouragana will notice the two books from the mansion sitting on his desk. The blank one is closed, but the other one is sitting open.
(OOC: Whether Drav and Gallath go with Jocelyn and Ouragana or not, I leave up to their players.)

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
When Naras gets to the weaponsmith's shop, if Roken's there she will ask, "Hello Roken! Did you hear the sermon earlier? How'd you think it went down?"
After listening to any reply, she continues, "How long do you think it will taken to finish off the Armoursmith's workshop? About another five weeks? And, before I forgot, have you been able to sell the magical battleaxe?"

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Jocelyn had followed Oura towards Thaddeus' room. "I mentioned that you might be able to do it, but you have the choice to charge her or refuse her," she says. "After all, Oura paid more than enough for having the curse removed."
Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Freshly cleaned and positive Jocelyn is safe now, Baeros goes with his dogs towards the shore but far from the ship, in order to have a stroll along the sea toward the ship.

At the same sentence you agreed to keep near Jocelyn and immediately after to go with Drav to the blacksmith when Jocelyn goes to the ship?!?!?spyguy1503 wrote: Gallath smiles at Baeros. "Alright." he says. "Well, I'll go with you if you want." he says to Drav.
Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
"Well, Thaddeus, I think you are much more experienced in these matters than I am, and that you would welcome the chance of earning money and prestige" ouragana says earnestly at Thaddeus's reproach. "I was somehow afraid I might mess things up again." She gestures toward the book lying open. "Have you learnt anything about this one?"

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Jocelyn and Ouragana (Bullring)
"It's not a matter of money or prestige," Thaddeus answers. "I am quite wealthy, and even more so after our expedition to the Wyvern's Island," he says, reminding them he got a share of the treasure, as well, which was quite a lot. "I doubt you could mess it up; it's a very simple spell to cast, despite its aftereffects; even an apprentice can cast it."
He looks to the open book. "Ah, yes. The Wyvern's master spellbook. I've been going over it in my downtime. Between researching it and the cannon, I'm quite spent," he admits. "In any case, it's quite a collection of spells. There are some I've never even seen before. I suspect the Wyvern must have invented them himself or perhaps they were just forgotten in the centuries since Eonia fell."
Naras Stonebreaker (Roken's Weaponshop)
Roken is working on a blade when Naras arrives. "I did hear the sermon; I was present. I suppose the word I would pick to describe it would be...chilling. If what you say is true, and the League plans another attack, it might be best to pack up and move on as quickly as possible. I can only hope the attack does not come until after the armor workshop is complete...I've heard stories of what happened during the last attack. They nearly burned the town to the ground and many were killed. I wouldn't want to be caught in the middle of that if it happens again."

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Naras Stonebreaker (Roken's Weaponshop)
"I intend to not let that happen, Roken, Gonto willing," the dwarf replies. "I'm hoping that the adventuring band that defeated the clockwork spiders will choose to help me. I didn't get off to a good start with them though. My fault, I got things badly wrong. And yes, I see the irony of 'Knowledge'. Well, I suppose I've gained the lesson of humility."
The dwarf looked around for the magical battleaxe and comments, "So how's it going with you? Did you manage to sell the battleaxe? And, talking of weapons..." Naras pauses theatrically, looking around the shop, "I'm obviously in the right place..." She smiles. "How's my shortsword* progressing?"

Re: CH. 15: There and Back Again
Jocelyn looks between the two mages as they have their talk. Realizing she doesn't really have much of a place here, she excuses herself. She didn't really have anything else to do, so she decides to rest up in her cabin.
