Re: WotL OOC Thread IV
It's 5 feet, as always.
Re: WotL OOC Thread IV
And diagonals are still considered 5' or sqrt(2)*5'?
Re: WotL OOC Thread IV
They are 5', as well.

It is still active, and it will protect her only if he is standing between her and her attacker(s). He isn't perfect cover, though, as he's only 4'9" and she's 5'11" tall.
Re: WotL OOC Thread IV
Is there a key for the map?

Re: WotL OOC Thread IV
On the bright side, 'Tower of Wayreth' is pretty much ready to go when this game ends. I actually thought this chapter would be done by now and we'd be on the last chapter. Instead of 3 months as I had predicted, it's been 5 months. Well, it should be interesting to see how this battle turns out. (I had actually expected the party to speak with each other before fighting; I was curious as to whether they might even work something out, but Tulbas surprised me by immediately attacking.)
Re: WotL OOC Thread IV
For once I don't think it's me slowing things down. Trying to keep ontop of things (mostly); although I didn't always see something obvious for my character to do or talk about.
As for negotiations; haahqae isn't too optomistic about negotiating with an empire which appears to solve it's problems by arresting the wrong people and executing them without rhyme or reason. His response would be more likely to just hide and disappear until a black robe who can disintegrate him with a word isn't around.
And as a side note; let's see how long I can keep up this streak of rolling 10's.

Tulbas is full of surprises...
But actually I didn't think there is a chance of negotiation. Magnus (
) is an arrogant and kills without any need. If there was a negotiation he would demand total submission of the other group or fight (unless he thought they are any danger and then he would lie and then kill them). I thought that fight gives the other side a fair chance while negotiating will 90% fail and if not the others will be tortured and then executed. So... hence the surprise.

So Magus got the MM off before Shima was able to interfere, fine, but can you clarify the dwarf's attack. Did he see that the spell had been cast and not bother? Did his attack fail?
