Galenye slowly draws her sword as she isn't exactly sure if what is going on at this point. "...Bandits?" she asks.

Erastin moves alongside Galenye, keeping her on one side and Targin on the other, his hand rests on his hilt but he does not draw his weapon.

"Well met." He says with a raise of his hand, so far they were not a threat.

Karathos reminds behind Erastin, he wants to let him decide on the tone of the encounter. His hands are ready to draw the axes, though.

Erek Malham is a crafty old bastard. Or so he likes to think. After all, he survived the war by refusing to take sides, preying on both to make his living. He had gathered together this small band of young men and women to help him. He had earned the nickname, "The Solanathian Scourge" for his irritating habit of intercepting goods going both to and from the city. All of this, he had accomplished, because he had been smart. He didn't take foolish risks. He always analyzed the situation before acting.

But everyone makes mistakes.

When he first saw this small group approaching his camp from above, he believed they were headhunters come to collect on a bounty, based on the weapons and armor they wore. But he quickly realizes that if that were so, why would they just boldly walk up to his camp, in broad daylight? No, that cannot be--unless they were the world's worst bounty hunters. Rather, they were likely just strangers who stupidly stumbled into his campsite.

When Erek finds out who was supposed to be on watch, heads would roll. But first, he needed to take care of these strangers.

"Cover! Take cover!" he shouts, grabbing his bow. "Attack plan Sigma, go! Take them out!" The other bandits quickly scramble, readying their bows and seeking cover behind tents and bushes.

===============

(OOC: Some things to note are that the tents and trees provide cover while the bushes provide concealment. The campsite is in a small depression, so the party is actually higher up than the bandits. Each one of those lines at the top of the map represent a depth of about five feet or so, so the party is 15 feet higher than the bandits.

Galenye quickly takes out her bow, and runs to take cover behind the tree right in front of her. Taking aim, she fires her arrows at bandit 6.

Targin dismounts and once again swaps his pony on the ass to get it moving out of danger.

This time how ever, he draws his bow and moves west, looking to pick off any bowmen as he anticipates Karathos to wade into melee combat again.

"Jinali, Selowen, take cover behind the bushes. Retreat if you must" Karathos tells the two lady mages. He himself crouches between the bushes, to be less obvious a target, and tries to track where the archers are. If any are coming trying to surround them, he'll run over and attack.

Jinali cant hear Karathos because she already as concentrated for her spell that she don't recognises something but the bandit in her focus (No. 2).
Whispering the powerfull words Jinali rises her hands, points out at the men and let the missiles flow onto him.

Magic missile: 1d10+1=8, 1d4+1=4

After casting the spell she fastly takes protektion behind the bush on her right.

"By the Gods." Erastin murmurs, drawing his blade and moving alongside Galenye a moment. "Cover me, I will attempt to skirt round them." He signals to the others pointing to the targets, and nods to Targin.

Erastin draws his blade and urges Gallen a bit to the south. At that moment, there is a break in the overcast clouds ahead, allowing a bit of sunlight to shine on the battlefield. Erastin's family blade and armor catch and reflect the light, making him appear like a heroic knight of yore for a few moments. It almost makes him a pretty big target.

Karathos heads west, trying to get a good, clear view of where the bandits are. Despite his orders to flee, both of the casters do otherwise. Both simultaneously begin chanting in the mystical, spidery tongue of magic, their voices mixing together in a strange, arcane duet. As one, they unleash their magical might. An arrow of pure energy discharges from the half-elf's hands, screaming through the air and slamming into the chest of a dark-haired bandit with a goatee. The force is enough to knock him on his back. Before he can get back up, Selowen tosses a handful of sand into the air, which takes on a slight glow as it rains down on the camp. Suddenly, three of the male bandits (including the one who had the wind knocked out of him by Jinali's spell) and one of the females collapse on the ground, sound asleep. As one, both Jinali and Selowen then quickly find cover, lest they become pin cushions.

Galeneye moves south, drawing her bow and aiming at the leader. However, as she pulls back on the string, it suddenly snaps, causing her to nearly drop the bow in the process.

Meanwhile, Erek quickly takes cover by a tent and draws an arrow on Erastin. Grinning to himself as he perfectly aims the arrow at the would-be knight's head, right between the eyes, his bowstring then snaps as well. "@#$%ing Abyss, you gotta be kiddin' me!" he cries.

One of the bandits, a young woman with long brown hair, quickly takes cover and fires an arrow at Targin. It soars over his head, though, not coming even close to hitting the dwarf. He hops off Ash, slapping the pony's rear to send it away, and heads west, near Karathos to find a target.

Rounding the tree near Galenye, Erastin moves to the otherside of the tree, using it as cover so he can get a better idea of what he is facing.

(Its what 30 feet, which Galen can cover in no time, does he still get to attack?)

Smiling in satisfaction to herself. "Still think we little ladies should run away, Karathos?" she calls out to him from behind the brush.

=========

(OOC: Jerrard, Gallen can move 150 feet (15 squares) in one round, and even more if you push him into a canter or gallop. So yeah, shouldn't be a problem.)

"Bah, look Karathos, they be sleepin like babes, shall we?" he says.

With that, the dwarf drops his bow and hoists his axe as he runs to the opening between the two tents looking for that silly archer.

Erastin charges around the tree, swinging his blade at the leader and allowing Galen to attack as well.

Karathos laughs. "You did well, ladies, Now stay safe!" He draws his twin axes and follows Targin.
