"Oh...right. I keep doing that, don't I? Ummm...okay, well...here goes nothing," Ulster says, offering his hand.

Having sipped about half of her grog, Babushka walks over to Jerrard and sits down beside him, smiling and finishing her drink.

"I feel somewhat old." Jerrard comments, blowing out a smoke ring over the side of the ship. "When my friends were out dancing I was practicing my blade or with my head in a book." He watches Malika dance, his eyes following her. "Am I fooling myself?" He asks returning his attention to Babuskha.

"If you're old, you're an old fool" Babushka says with a smile from ear to ear. "There are many ways of having fun. To each his own, no? I never fooled around with those my age either, I was out in the woods looking at animals and learning about herbs. And discussing with my mentor, of course."

Imani takes Ulster's hand with a grin. "So then you liked my dance?" she asked curiously.

"Y-Yeah. It was very...wiggly and...you know, dancey," Ulster says, accepting her hand tentatively. "Um, I sort of, have to put my hand on your...you know, hip. For the dance. If that's okay."

"That's fine," Imani says. "Dancing kind of implies some touching will be involved at some point."

"You misunderstand." Jerrard laughs, "I like her, something tells me it would be a very bad idea." Glancing over at the woman dancing with the crew he places his hand on Babuskha's shoulder.

"The Captain told me of her story, the true story, she used her power to control others, and tried to control the Kahn." Shaking his head he adds. "Wahid was tasked with looking after her, controlling her by the Kahn. The man was immune to her charms." Watching her reaction he waits a moment.

"I want to believe she has changed, and to give her a chance, just watch her."

Babushka cocks her head and thinks. "You don't know who tells the truth and who lies" she finally says. "So it seems right to give her a chance. Besides, you and I agree that no one should be controlled by magic, even as a punishment, don't we? So freeing her was a good thing. If she gets herself into trouble again, she will have to bear the consequences.

She was nice enough at first, I liked her, too. But her insistence to be freed from the gem at once has put me off. She was not nice then. And you should not take any action until you know her better, my friend."

With that, Babushka gets up again and winds through the crowd to first bring back her cup with a thanks to the kitchen crew and then go look for Locky.

Reluctantly, and after wiping his palms on his pants several times, Ulster leads Imani in a formal Solamnic ballroom dance; a fairly simple 'one-two, one-two' waltz.

"This is what your dances are like?" Imani asks as she follows along with the steps. It seemed pretty simple to her, if not a little boring. Where was the creativity?

"One of the simpler ones," Ulster admits, casting multiple quick glances to their feet. "I'm not an expert or anything, I never could master the more complicated ones."

"Maybe I can show you some of our dances some time," Imani said. "They really aren't that hard."

Jerrard nods in agreement as the Gnome leaves, he stops, puts out his pipe and strides towards Malika.

"May I have this dance my Lady?" He asks with what he hopes is a suitable courtly bow, and offers her his hand.

Locky has grown bored of the dancing and is sitting at the other end of the deck, she is playing with a piece of string and a tootpick, she has tied the toothpick to the string and delighting in watching it move as the ship moves from side to side.
