Re: Act 1, Scene 1: "Together in Harmony" (Game Thread)
The large inkeeper's eyes widen at the kender's voracity, but a small smile quirks at the corner of his mouth. Elsa says a short prayer and begins eating, taking food down almost as fast as Pyros, but somehow managing to eat in a much more orderly fashion. She makes small sounds of approval. Food is universal. she pronounces, between bites. This is really good. I'm a cook too... at home. Did you make this? She asks him.
Guilliam glances back first, but settles himself into the chair I suppose it's not too busy this early. He chuckles a little at her remark about a replacement. No, no. Nobody else as long as you want to stay. You have been something of a local sensation, it's been very good for business. There is still talk about the 'Red Gypsy'... I have been asked many times where you come from... but I just say that nobody knows... The unspoken question obvious in his voice.
After a short pause, he continues. Erris enjoys the gypsy music the most, but... there are a couple of songs I think she'd like to hear... His eyes twinkle a bit as he thinks of his wife. 'Autumn Leaves' I have heard you play... The other is Wildwood Flower. It is popular here, so it should not be difficult to find... I think she would enjoy those. he smiled at her.
I went to hear you that day you played the festival, just by chance. I wish I had known before, but imagine my surprise! You did very well. He patted her arm in a fatherly fashion. I'm not sure how they choose such things, but I would think the performers would be decided long in advance... unless they had a cancellation...

Pyros will chug a cup of coffee and let out a large belch"Thank you very much! he will then continue to attack whatever is left on his plate.
Re: Act 1, Scene 1: "Together in Harmony" (Game Thread)
"That's how I got in last time, I was lucky and so scared! Why I didnt really tell anyone.. No one to see me fail." She blushes again, "Where I come from I'm ... Just your average performer, i had a place to live but it didn't feel like here.. Like a home."
"Guilliam is indeed the cook, his skills are rather good." Mira responds to Elsa, taking another bite.
"If I said where I come from.. You wouldn't believe me." She adds as she pats his hand back, "I come from far away, further than you probably think. From a place gripped by war." Pausing she brushes that thought aside as if it were a stray strand of hair. "I can play those songs, please ask if she likes anymore, seeing her happy is.. It's comforting. My own family are far away."

[Ooc: Guilliam is the chef, usually. One of the evening servers (his daughter) cooks sometimes. I can edit the post if you like, or you can adjust it if you want. It's not necessary, though]
The man blinks at Pyros' belch, and glances at Mira. I take it your little friend found the food... passable... he says with a small smile. You did wonderfully at the festival, you seemed so calm. Don't count yourself as less than you are... truly. I hope you do decide to stay, but I understand being away from family. He stands as a couple of locals come in. I should see to them... I'm glad you enjoy the meal. With a smile and a wink, he heads over to greet the new customers.

Pyros will throw a few crumbs into the mouse pouch.
When he is done his plate, he will then start to shuffle cards, making sure his hand is working properly, especially after the dream brought back that tense feeling in his shoulder.

"I see no reason why I would go anywhere." Mira responds finishing her meal, "I believe the meal was enjoyed by all." She grins, putting down her cutlery.
"So, Cal? Dead to the world?" She asks looking around the table. "We could leave him there...." She suggests looking up towards the stairs.

Re: Act 1, Scene 1: "Together in Harmony" (Game Thread)
[OOC: Ok, since the party was info-gathering and eating a bit I didn’t press the 3 day rule recently; but let’s get things under way. It’s been well over a week since spyguy posted, so we’ll NPC him until he gets back. Namenlos is moving, I think, so it may be a bit before he can be back on a regular basis. Since his char is already with the party, though, I’ll have Yasir follow around when appropriate and just not interact much.]
Elsa finishes her food not far behind the kender, and the warrior digs in with abandon as well. Alright, Yasir, let’s get you healed up. the man nods and follows her to the hallway near the baths, and around the corner so the other patrons can’t see. A couple of minutes later they return, and several of his wounds are completely healed. In addition, Elsa’s remaining wounds from the day before are completely healed. The tan man then heads upstairs as Elsa rejoins them at the table. He went to put on some other clothes if we’re going out in the wind, though it seemed to be dying down a bit when I saw those two other customers come in... Before I forget, how much do we owe for the food and rooms?
A few minutes later Yasir comes down with his red doublet fastened up and his boots on. He still only wears the shortsword and his pouches, carrying no extra gear for now. What do you guys think? Should we go while the weather is better?
[Yasir is healed for 10 hps. He is now only Hurt and at 20/23 hps]

Pyros will gulp the rest of this drink. "I'm game!" He will then tuck his cards away. "Steel isn't the way to go you said. May I pay with this?" He will pull out a gold coin. And flip it around a bit.
Pyros will bring his Hoopak strapped to his back, but will leave his pack, and other weapons in the room.

"Well, if we are going outside I'd better cover up, it gets colder than a night on the Vinngard mountains out there." Mira jokes as she goes to stand. "You too Elsa, unless you want to get blown away."
"I'll go and get a few things, and then settle with Guilliam." With that she darts upstairs and cancels the Cantrip on the door.
"Im ready." Heading back down she stands dressed in her black leather jacket, and travelling cloak, her sword hands at her side.

While Mira is gone Pyros will wave Guilliam over and will "slyly" slide him a gold coin.
Hoping to "impress" him.

Mira heads upstairs to bundle up. While she is gone, Pyros rolls a gold coin across the back of his fingers which seem to be working well; the numbness from his odd sleeping position having fully receded. When Guilliam is done taking the new customers’ initial order, the Kender gets his attention and rolls him the gold coin. He seems surprised at first, though whether it is for the gold or the apparent youngster paying with it is uncertain.
Oh, I almost forgot. Elsa hands him some silver. The tan warrior pays as well, while the inkeep is near. Guilliam takes the coins behind the bar and checks a small tablet marked up from the night before. He returns with their change, and bows. Saying something pleasant sounding. Elsa then disappears upstairs and not a moment later Mira returns in a form-fitting black leather jacket with her cloak on. The Halfling soon joins them with her pack and wearing a blue and white cloak over her robes. It seems everyone is ready and paid-up. Where should we start? Elsa asks, looking to Mira to take the lead, since she knows the town best.
[Pyros and Yasir each pay 6 sp 6 cp for Bath, dinner, breakfast, splitting 2 pitchers of ale and a room.
Mira’s room and board is part of her payment for playing.
Elsa pays for her breakfast (she paid up for everything last night before bed)]
[Lang Check at inn: Yasir, Pyros, Elsa [1d100] = 37, [1d100] = 71, [1d100] = 46: all fail. Nobody understands what Guilliam said.]

Pyros will let out a small sound of excitement. He loves exploring new places, and this is the newest of the new to him.
"After you lady bard!" He will rush ahead to get the door for the party.

"If we are all ready." Mira gives Elsa a smile of appreciation before motioning to the door. "I figure we take a walk west and check who is open. John should be open too, if you are looking for silver."
She will take them along the Main Street, going west as she did in her first few trips here, and then to John Sledge.

Harmonia: ‘The Loop’
Mid-Morning. Saturday, Feb 24rd. yr 736.
The air is cool as they step out into the windy morning, though not so cold as when Mira first came to this place. She had come to learn that it was late winter, nearly into spring… a fact that had staggered her when she first learned it. Whether she had stepped from early summer on Krynn into winter here, or had simply lost her memory for months and traveled a prodigiously great distance, neither prospect bore rational though… Merrick’s testimony argued for the former, but… how could she be sure? For the others the shift in weather was equally unusual, though they had not yet learned that the season had changed as well… though subtle signs suggested it…
There were a few people about at this hour, and the wind made it uncomfortable to stay out long. It whistled between the shops and houses, tugged at cloaks and robes, but it seemed natural… maybe… Stores bearing staple goods were open for business, though their outdoor awnings and tables remained unused due to the wind. There were seamstresses, leather workers, general supply stores with rope, packs, lanterns and more. There was a candlemaker and a glass-blower, and all manner of trades and crafts necessary for a small community. The small carts that normally dotted the edge of the street were set up snug against more permanent structures, their hawkers bundled against the wind and waving others over rather than calling out over the airy racket.
Mira led them West, the very same broad cobblestone road they had traveled the night before. Though the day was cool and blustery, it was only very lightly overcast and seemed like it would have been pleasant otherwise. Perhaps a block down on the right they came to a smithy, but Mira passed it by. The Halfling looked back at it but said nothing, trusting her guide. Before long the main thoroughfare curved northeast, and just before the bend they passed the narrow fronted tavern outside which Yasir, Elsa and Pyros had met; and where Mira had first spotted them. In the daylight it was even dingier than it had appeared last night. There were no windows to the place, and the large, heavy oaken door was littered with cuts and gouges. The sign above bore only the image of a large clay jug with a crack running down it and roughly-drawn skulls scribbled on. It seemed the kind of place for cheap, heavy drinking.
Rounding the bend they passed another small shop with a silver dragon-scale on the sign and some words red, presumably written in Harmonian. A narrow side street and a small shed separated it from another smithy on the West side of the road with a painted anvil on the sign. Yasir grins broadly as they approach and glances at Mira, though he doesn’t say anything yet. Leading them straight in, Mira stops a little distance past the door. The ring of hammer-on-anvil starts up as they see a burly and heavily muscled man with brown hair and a slight gut working a length of cold iron on a massive anvil. He looks up and his green eyes lock onto them. He is the only person aside from the rest of the party that any of them have seen without the violet-blue stare and pale complexion of the other residents in town.
A small grin crosses his face as he sees Mira, which broadens as he takes in Yasir behind her. You’ve taken to tending strays, I see… he says to her. Did he come to get his sword fixed? He takes a closer look at the small folk and his eyebrows rise as they fall on Elsa. Making a small bow he speaks to her in a language nobody else recognizes, Bhean cothrom, cén ádh thugann tú le mo sioppa beag? She blushes and smiles, nudging Pyros, See, I told you halflings were more popular than Kender. she says, playfully. Responding in what sounds like the same language, Is é an scéal ró-fhada ar feadh an lae, ach an giofógach dearg rinne mé anseo. She laughs and claps a bit, turning back to the others Finally, I can speak to a native! Though he doesn’t really have the look of the locals…
[OOC: Nocturno (I almost called you Pyros), check out John Sledge’s description and picture in the Party Knowledge thread.
The language is supposed to be Halfling. I don’t think anyone present speaks Halfling, especially since two of you are from Krynn which doesn’t have them and Yasir only took Dwarven…]
