Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Checking with the Stone of Direction Woody confirms that the tunnel on the right is heading to the southeast whereas the map indicated that the meeting place should be to the northwest.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
As Sue and Woody attempt to determine which route will get the party to their destination, Jim asks Darren in celestial "Are you coming along with us or will you take up your watching role again? No judgement, just curious."
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
"Which would you prefer?" asks the Aasimar.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue will look to Woody or Darren. "Either of you have one of those simple spells that can do cleaning?"
He will keep his Glaive out, clean or dirty, and head over to the dotten line side of the circular area.
Any ledges or obvious hand holds to go across here? How strong is the flow from above?

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Darren shakes his head. He does not.
There are no ovbious ledges or handholds.
The most obvious place for a grappling hook to gain purchase is on the iron rungs of the step ladder some fifteen foot on the other side of the southeastern outflow.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue looks at the angle with the ladder to where they stand.
Will they be able to hook the rope high enough so they can swing and avoid the sludge?
If they used Woody's disk to get a higher start on their side would that allow them to swing without hitting the sludge?

Sue studies the tunnel geometry.

Sue has not... he wishes he had at this point.

Investigation(Int)(0): [1d20] = 5
Surprise surprise.
How about insipiration?
========================
Sue takes his hands and tries to draw out the angles from his vantage point.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue thinks his lower body would go in the sewage. Maybe more.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue winces at the thought of going through the grossness.
"Anyone have any ideas? My only idea so far is to attach a rope to that ladder and swing and or pull ourselves across."

Woody cast mage hand. "Sue let the hand clean your shaft."
Can we not put some nails into the wall and tie the rope to it after we try to throw the grappling hook and the rope across to the ladder on the other side?
We can use the disk to get some height when nailing the nails. If this works we could slide across using our hands and feet. We could even tie small rope around our waste and loop it around the rope bridge for safety.

"Thanks."
Sue likes Woody's idea.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Woody's spectral hand removes virtually all of the glaive's grim deposits.
Darren says, "Good idea! Can your handy-hand lift much? Like a grappling hook? And can it reach the ladder?"
======
The ladder is 15' away.

"Here is some rope." Sue pulls out his Hempen Rope.(50')
"I don't have a hook though."
