Searos half-stumbles out of his tent and looks up at the sun. "Why is it always so damned bright when I wake up..."

He pulls the flap of the tent open for a moment and leans in, yelling perhaps too loudly, "Come on Muscles, wake up, you big drunk brewmaster you! Its time we got a move on."

He then stretches in the sun looking about and saying to no one in particular. "Do you know how odd it can be to share a tent with a nature-lover when its raining? Its all 'listen to that, its like artwork by the gods' or some crap. Ugh. If it weren't for the wine, we'd be a hairy lump of muscle short today."

(OOC: So, what exactly do you plan to do? The mules cannot be taken down the cliffside path without risking to get stuck at some time. Remember that horses and mules don't like to go backwards at all, and there's no room to turn them on the path.)

(OOC: Just leave them behind? It was my understanding that the mules are just carrying our tents anyway.)

Gunter rolls out of the tent after Searos and takes a stretch.

"I was just trying to show you that there's beauty in things that aren't gold or silver. Anyway, we should get going and see where that path goes. Do you think the animals and camp will be okay if we leave them unguarded?"

"Because Pelor gives us life, and light." Brax smiles, giving Searos a wink, "Yes of course the mules can stay, we don't need the tents, let us go and take a look." She gives Amon a quick glance, "If that is ok with you?"

"Let's at least make sure they can't run away" Kim observes. "And hope that whatever took the people is not interested in mules, or not coming over land."

"We could tether them, could we not?" Brax ask simply.

Gunter grabs all of his gear minus the tent and tethers the mules to a tree near where they can still get a little bit of water if they need to.

Shouldering his pack he addresses the group. "Well then, into the unknown?"

"Lead on," Amon says. Echo nods in agreement.

The group finds it a little more difficult to go down the cliffside path than before because the rocks are slippery with rain, but with a little care, it is not a real problem. Soon after the spot where they returned earlier, they have to walk in single file, because the path is so narrow. To their left is the cliff wall, to their right, shrubbery and the occasional rock cover the steep slope.

Marching order please?

(I would have put brax at the rear and Searos near the front. But what we have is good.)

(OOC: Well, Searos has his bow, so he can still fight on the backrow. Brax has no ranged weapons or ranged spells, but if she's near the front, she can help heal and protect the frontliners. Or so goes my reasoning.)
