CH. 8: Reunion

[Jenara]

"Pleased to meet you. Why were you not suprised?" She asks, stepping back.

[Nuke]

After the search, Val heaves the body on the horse and readies for the hike. After the comments, Val turns and stares at the man. "You didn't save my life, you killed the man I was going to return alive!" Val turns toward town and adds. "Just some gold and poison, nothing that tells who his employers was."

Still irritated with this thick-headed grumpy well built woman's attitude, Baeros follows, muttering to himself "Aren't we cheerful today..." and to Takit he says with a grin "Don't mind her... she probably had skipped breakfast... Who is a clever boy? You are!"

"Pleased to meet you. Why were you not suprised?" She asks, stepping back.

Knowing better than to criticize her employer to her friends, Ursula simply says, "Nothing. If you'll excuse me, I have some duties to perform."

It takes twenty minutes for Val to return to the village. Baeros, his dog, horse (dead body slumped over its saddle) and the person he is escorting come along.

It takes thirty minutes for Ouragana to study the spells she wants. Once she is finished, she returns to the temple.

It is now 10:00 AM.

Once arriving to the village, Baeros turns to Shalek, "Well, here we are, safe and sound in Condeltun. If you will need escort in the future, be sure to look for me in the local bar. Now, if you will be so kind and give me my payment, we can conclude our business."

After retrieving his payment Baeros tells Val, "Let's go now to see your friend, the Pastor, and rid of that body..."

After few seconds, Baeros suddenly remembers and call after Shalek, "I heard they have here in the reef, very rare and exotic fish... You should pay there a visit. I intend to do the same later on."

[Jenara]

"Of course." Arei smiles, "I fully understand." sitting back down she waits somewhat bored.

[Nuke]

After Baeros concludes his business, Val escorts the trio to the temple where she unceremoniously dumps the body of the assassin onto the ground.

"Thanks for your horse."

Baeros looks at the house... "That's the temple?!?" he asks surprised. "There is not much of it... is there?"

Regarding Val's words, Baeros pets his horse's head and says while looking at him, "Thunder is a great horse, and we are always glad to help..." Baeros glances around looking for a spot to tie the horse and water him. Then he removes the saddle and packs from the horse, placing them on the fence, and brushes the horse. "Val, will you call your friend to examine the body? I can watch over it while tending to the horse."

Her spell studies finished, Ouragana walks back to the temple, but stops at the fence gate, surprised to find a newcomer there tending to his horse. Then she decides to go in all the same and look for Jocelyn, Areilon and possibly Val.

"Good day to you, Sir" she says as she passes the stranger.

If Baeros looks up at the greeting, he sees a human woman of very light built, with platinum blonde hair and pale blue eyes. The light grey clothing with many shawls she wears only highten the impression that she might be blown away by the next gust of wind.

"Uhm... what?" Baeros looks over his sholder. "Oh hello... good day... mind help me for a second, I'm trying to clean the horseshoes but Thunder keeps moving since it's a new place. Do you mind holding his reins for a minute until I can finish the cleaning? Thanks."

[Breila]

"Well... I'm more at home on a ship than in a stable... but... i can try." the young woman approaches cautiously and stretches her hand out to the reins. "What do I need to do to keep him steady?" she asks.

[Jenara]

"I'll take a walk and see if I can see if Val has returned." Arei suggests as she brings herself to her feet, stepping out into the garden.

Hand in her sword hilt the elf surveys the scene, Val with the dead Assassin, and Oura holding the newcommers horse.

"You caught him then?" She asks, putting a hand on Val's shoulder. "He won't say much, what I'd give for the Kohen now." she admits with a shudder.

If Baeros looks her way, he sees a average height elf, with pale skin, her face marred by a small scar, her clothes are quite expensive, revealing a decent amount of cleavage, she holds the hilt of a black hilted sabre in her left hand.

"Thunder likes a good rub at the back of his ears, but be careful, he has a strong neck and might shove you with his head without even meaning any harm. Be sure to hold the reins firmly."

Still cleaning the horseshoes, Baeros manages to glance up and sees Val meeting an elf. "This one looks nothing like a Pastor..." Baeros thinks to himself and calls after Val, "You have a lot of friends, in spite everything..."

Finishing the cleaning, Baeros straights up, thanks the helpful woman and introduce himself to both women. "I'm Baeros Axewielder, pleased to meet you both." He says with a grin. Gesturing at the dog running playfully at the temple's grounds, Baeros says To the elf, "Val was lucky to meet us at the woods while chasing this man, for Takit just saved her and killed her attacker".

[Nuke]

Val is glad to see Arei, "Yeah, I caught him. Then this man protected him until he attacked again, then his dog killed him. I was going to bring him back alive."

Val gives Baeros a sidelong glare, "Yes, these are my friends, the ones who would have wanted the scum alive."

OOC: Interesting dynamic developing here lol.

Ouragana grins at the man's claim to have saved Val's life. "Forgive me for believing my friend rather than you" she says. "I have seen her in a few fights, and she can hold her own very well." She eyes the dog suspiciously, entirely forgetting to introduce herself.
