Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
[Ooc: idrys was suspicious because she doesn't seem like much of a drinker or a hugger, and is acting out of character.]
Idrys uses the chaos to sneak up behind the dwarf that attacked Delilah, and assasinates him with the dual longswords. After the dwarf is dead (not taking my eyes off him in combat) Idrys looks for the swordsman from before to ask for his help with the owlbear.

Actually 9, d8+1
Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
IDRYS think's he's being sneaky as he came from the rear, using the crowd to mask his presence when the Elf, laughing like a hyena twisted his neck to look over his shoulder regarding you with cold, mad eyes throwing two daggers with one hand straight at you the first stung into your chest, the second sunk hilt deep into your stomach, releasing stomach acid out of the wound (-8 hp damage). The dhampir's eyes flashed a golden yellow then his fangs sprouted out and he sprang and leaped at a villager guardsman, who cried out 'get him off of me!' He's a vampire! VAMPIRE!"
Elf: 'hah hah hah!"
The Dwarf spun around to see what the commotion was, launched his hammer into the air and it blasted into Idrys like a ton of bricks sending him flying over the railing and into the water below (-4 hp).
As he crashes into the swamp water, he floated on the surface. Sometime later he felt himself being dragged and he was being floated toward the shore by Narn who was walking on stilts. 'Your sister's going to have my neck because of you!' he poured some hot fiery liquid down your throat, which burned like acid and fire intermingled (you're healed for +3 hp). 'This was worth two months wages!' he said emphatically, sighing in exasperation. 'Speaking of which I've been looking all over for her'' he tends to your injuries bandaging you up (+4 hp retored, healing NWP).

Seeing she got a reprieve Delilah stops to see what the Elf and Dwarf duo are doing. If she can see them.
If she can't find them she will cast Command on the Owlbear, and yell "SIT!", in common.

Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
Both Dwarf and Elf look bored and saunter off, sometimes hitting or knocking those in their path away.
Clutching your holy symbol you roar 'SIT!' , the owlbear complies obediently (save vs. spells: failed)
Guard #1 attacks, missing the owlbear
Guard #2 attacks, missing the owlbear
Guard #3 attacks missing the owlbear.
You saw the swordsman entertainer leap at the Owlbear, missing it even though it is sitting down..'cursed beast!'

[OoC: Time to make it a pin cushion.]
"Keep it pinned down!"
Initiative, Attack, Attack, Dmg Dmg: [1d10] = 3 [1d20] = 17 [1d20] = 18 [1d8] = 7 [1d8] = 1

Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
Out of the corner of your vision you see a sparrow suddenly transform into a robed, hooded man clad in charcoal gray robes + hood. Sheathed at his side was a scimitar, and he clutched a wooden staff carved from treant wood..The figure levels his staff toward the owlbear, when a hundred vines slithered toward it like angry serpents wrapping around the owlbears legs and limbs. "You swamp folk never cease to amaze me!' he said, chuckling beneath his breath.
Idrys in the meantime is up and revitalized. Narn takes him to the 'lift' and he's ascending toward the main area of the village square.

Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
If possible she won't loose the arrows.
Thinking to herself, this must be the druid Narn was speaking of.

Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
Finally recovered, idrys thanks Narn and says. You haven't seen her? Shit. He goes to the hut to see if she is there, I knew something was off, why didn't I say something to her before she left? Where could she have gone? After checking the hut if he finds no trace there or around he goes back to the last place he saw her; the stage where she disappeared albeit momentarilly, and searches there.
Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
You go back to the hut the party was staying right? There's lots of huts
Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
note: last post til next Wed. Just posting today since I'm off.
The owlbear is guided into a new caged wagon and locked up, without causing any more violence.
The druid turned to you Delilah and beamed you a smile. He has a naturally handsome face, seemingly ageless with dark brown hair and gray eyes. He greets you 'Greetings Elf, Trunks, also of the Black Forest Kingdom, if that is where you hail from? If I'm not in error you are cousins with that useful rascal Ecnav, correct?"
meanwhile...Idrys entered the hut looking for his sister out of concern. He saw Karlene standing on the second floor of the hut gazing down at him with cold regard, lacking the warmth he saw earlier. She removes her 'face' to reveal the face of a man he's never seen before, a human male perhaps near the same age as himself. This man rips out a sword out of a sheath but you cannot see the blade, it looks as if he's simply holding a sword handle and nothing more. With his other hand he takes out a pair of throwing daggers 'Idrys Stormcrow? Forgive the elaborate ruse, I do like a dramatic entrance now and again. There was a price on your head, your sisters too. For now I earned a bit of coin at her expense. She's a rare beaut, and let's face it there's some rich lords who would love the experience of fucking a dhampir, they'd paid a great deal of coin for that sort of fun. I can always kill her later. The contract was too good to pass up,. If it's any consolation you'll die being ignorant of who my employer is, or why you're dying. Poetic, eh? Heh heh.'
'He's not alone' came a voice from the shadows. Out of it emerged another man, clad in dark black garb. He bore a rather handsome visage, almost meticulously kept, and he was briefly examining himself in a mirror. 'The Goddess of Love is here to intercede on this man's behalf' he said with a chuckle, 'and as such, I will aid him in this 'challenge' less he hath any objection to my encroachment'
'Who are you?!" the imposter Karlene asked in annoyance, 'always some fool dipping his fingers where they don't belong. So be it you both can die together!!!'

Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
"We are cousins indeed. Thank you for helping subdue the creature. It would have been a shame to kill something because of others recklessness. Although I am not too fond of trapping nature like that either."
Re: ** Part I: Fire and Ash **
Trunks: "I would have destroyed it outright, for owlbears are stupid things created by demented magic-users of old. These others seem to be 'natural' however. No matter, what's done is done. It might have served us best being rid of such an abomination, I must be growing soft in my old age, hah hah. The druid looked toward you and said 'I came at behest of your brother, mi'lady. He requested that I should come see how you fare, and his request came from the Empress. I bear a letter from your lady, though I am instructed to tell you not to read its contents out in the open but in private, away from prying eyes. Also it is encrypted and will require a comprehend languages spell to decipher its meaning' he laughed, 'so, you've won the prize. A good portend of your abilities, Lady Stillwater!'

Idrys growls wordlessly at the newcomer's taunts and threats. Drawing a longsword he knows he stands little chance in his current state, but rage seethed within him. I will bathe in your blood you filthy piece of shit! he snarls, bone-white knuckles standing out from the grip on his swords.
Then, the other stranger arrives. He wanted to murder this snake in the grass himself, but he knew trying it was the short path to perhaps permanent rest. With a wordless cry he used his gloves to rip the man's 'invisible' sword into Idrys own free hand.
