CH 4: Lair of the Dragon

[Breila]

Goldmoon can't help looking at her beloved, shuddering at the thought of how he looked after that incident.

[Jenara]

"Yes you are very useful Magpie, meeting you was.. A happy chance." Laurana smiles, glancing to Goldmoon, was she thinking about the Dragon attacking Riverwind.

"I would like to rest for a while.. If that's ok?" She glances around, wrapping her cloak around her.

[Jerrard]

"Yes, yes we should rest, perhaps a rest will give us new insight." Sturm replies to the Elf, and gives Goldmoon a friendly smile, he needed rest, time to think.

"Tanis, we should set watch, I don't trust this place."

[JadedDM]

Tanis considers. "Those draconians are still out there, looking for us. I suppose it won't matter if we set out now or in several hours. Maybe by then, they'll have cooled their search. All right, let's set up a watch and get some rest. Hopefully the smell won't keep us up."

[Nuke]

Riverwind is already asleep, surprisingly not snoring.

[Kafen]

Tas is slinking around the room while they talk and taking in the scene. He waits until they are done. "What if we're not tired? Can we look around?" He asks while looking around the shadows.

[JadedDM]

"Keep within sight of me," Tanis tells the kender. "And stay out of trouble."

[Breila]

After discussing the setup of the watches with the others, Goldmoon walks over to her beloved again and stretches out close to him. She silently prays to Mishakal before closing her eyes to sleep.

[Jenara]

Laurana gives Tanis a brief glance, placing her fingers to her lips she giggles and rolls her self up in her cloak. Dirty blonde hair around her like a crown.

"She's a wild one my friend, yet she has an inner strength." Sturm smiles, patting his friend on the back. "I will watch them, for a while. My pennance. As it were." he lays brightblade across his lap.

The party rests for eight hours, everyone getting plenty of rest, food and drink. Riverwind's food and water had been destroyed by the dragon's breath, so Goldmoon shares her own. A watch is set up, but nothing bothers them during this time save for the occasional gully dwarf who walks by, some of them curious, others ignoring them entirely on their way to the mess hall.

Magpie approaches them, ready to guide them. "Is ready? Have to go back outside to get there."

It is now 8:30 PM (Last Watch). Everyone consumes a day worth of food and water. Raistlin re-memorizes some spells.

[Breila]

Goldmoon is quite happy that they will get moving again. Her sleep had been punctuated by nightmares in which she saw Riverwind or someone else of their group striken by dragon's breath, and only by praying to Mishakal for endurance and peace of mind was she able to go back to sleep again.

[Jerrard]

"Are we ready?" Sturm asks rubbing his shoulders and readying Brightblade in its scabbard. "Perhaps Tas should go out first? Then you and Laurana?" he adds looking at Tanis, "You have the best chance of staying a little hidden. Caramon and i will guard the others until you say its clear."

"Are you ok this morning?" He asks Riverwind and Goldmoon.

[Jenara]

Laurana wakes slowly, splashing some water on her face she puts her hand through her hair. She pulls the matted blonde mess back, tying it up with a simple piece of ribbon.

"Tas should indeed go first, he is the best at that sort of thing." She says in response to Sturms suggestion.

"Yes Magpie we are ready to go, we just need to make sure there aren't any Bosses outside, if they saw us, they would not be pleased." She explains to the Gully Dwarf quietly.

[Nuke]

Riverwind is awakened as Goldmoon shifts in the morning, he sits up feeling a little better than last night, a bit recharged as it were.

"Good morning Sunshine." he says to her, enjoying her proximity for a while.

"A scouting mission is in order I assume?"

[Breila]

Goldmoon smiles broadly at Riverwind's greeting and runs her fingers through his hair, fondly.

"Yes, it seems as if Tasselhoff is to go first, talk to Tanis if you think it's a job for you and you feel up to it" she replies to his remark.
