Re: Tree Lords IV
"The armors are both moderately enchanted, I suggest you wear one... And the Bracers are stronger versions of my own, these are like wearing chain mail.." The mage says with a painful breath, "I still can't get over how much the spell drains me."
"The ring is an interesting one, it only works at night and is very powerful." (I'm not explaining all it does!) "That alone makes me think a powerful Kirath died here. And then the mask, it protects you from breathing in gases, much like a green dragons breath.. I wonder did the green dragon army drive them here?"
"And then this.." he draws the longsword from its scabbard, the ornate scrollwork visible, interlinked with a dragon head. "Have you ever heard of Wymslayer? This blade could be its cousin, it moderately enchanted, but when it is used against Dragons, it becomes very powerful, even more so against green dragons."
Sliding it back in the scabbard he shifts himself painfully. "A pessimist would see a pattern, the green dragon armies drove this poor Kirath to their death.. a sad way to go."

"If that's true, then this stuff has been here for nearly 30 years," Ulster muses, examining the sword.
"A dragon slaying sword." Thuskar chuckles. "Between that and the armor, all we need now is to get him a warhorse and a lance."
"Hi-larious," Ulster replies, rolling his eyes and sheathing the weapon.

"You are the only one who can use it properly, my skill is in shorter blades." Jerrard says in response, "You are looking more the Knight than you know. We should sponsor you for Knighthood." He winks.
"Our thief should take the Bracers, they will help him the most."

Re: Tree Lords IV
"You probably would make a good knight," Imani states as she takes the leather armor. "And you do look the part."
Re: Tree Lords IV
Babushka and Fikod return with the water, passing it to their comrades. Greycap is not forgotten either.
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: Tree Lords IV
"Thank you." Jerrard says in appreciation, taking some water. "Fikod, I believe you should take these." He offers the Bracers to the dwarf, "They are quite powerful." He holds onto the ring, and the mask, unsure what to do with them.
"The ring has a chance to... Malfunction, if you used it, a chance no one wants to take."

Re: Tree Lords IV
"Magic is fine if you use it, Jerrard, but it's nothing for me. Though I wouldn't say no to a suit of armor like that, if it were my size!" she casts a longing glance at the studded leater. "Did you have a chance to look at the waterskin we found, too?" she asks.
There's more to me than meets the eye...

"It gives heroism to a warrior, aiding his skills in combat." He offers the potion to the warriors, taking the levitation potion from Locky.
Re: Tree Lords IV
After dispersing the gear among each other, the party sets watch, and the rest of the night passes without incident.
The following day, they break camp, gear up and head out again. They don't encounter much along the way, at least until late that afternoon, a couple of hours before they would normally start looking for a campsite. A little after Tenth Watch, Babushka spots a flash of bronze about 80 feet ahead. It's only for a second, and no amount of staring reveals anything further from this vantage point. It may have even been her imagination...
==========
(OOC: I swapped around the gear based on what everyone said. You can double-check in your inventories. If I missed something or got it wrong, let me know.)
It is Summer Run 10, World Tree at Tenth Watch.
(Casters can pick new spells, if they like.)
Babushka makes a WIS check [14] (1d20): 9, notices a flash of bronze 80 feet ahead.

Re: Tree Lords IV
Imani had taken the time, at some point, when they took a rest, to put on the new armor. She had been in her own little world, enjoying the beauty that was the forest. Though, she knew the dangers that such a beautiful place could hold. The same could have been said about the desert. Now, she was just looking to get out of the maze of trees. "We should start looking for camp," she says finally.
Re: Tree Lords IV
"Indeed we should, bit there is something we'll have to talk about first" Babushka informs the others, stopping them with a sign of her hand. "I think I saw something bronze flash over there" she points. "I can't see it any more now, but it would be unwise to just walk on, I think."
Is it possible to get closer to the point where she saw it in an arc, not the direct line?

Re: Tree Lords IV
(Upon gaining the bracers Fikod would have removed his now-useless armor and probably placed a small mound of rocks over it like a cairn to leave behind.)
Fikod raises a hand in signal for the group to stop, then realizes that he's not back in Thorbardin with bands of close friends and fellow scoundrels. His new bracers are thick bands along his forearm, customary leather armor gone he's got a bit of a gut and his clothes are in ill-repair. He grunts, dropping his voice, "Advisin' we stop. A flash of this or that could be a signal for ambush or the glint of armored soldiers."

"Bronze? like a bronze dragon?" Locky asks, "We should take a look." grasping her Hoopak she too looks to the sky.
