Alecia infers:

• The writer of the roughly scrawled tatty note "Usual place. Nine bells" was almost certainly not the writer of the Hanging Lantern scroll.
  Taffis Bornam was ‘The Red Parrot”.
  The deceased's last trip was probably on his way to a 9pm rendezvous with a payment of 1 Harbour Moon when he when he was killed. There is no indication where he obtained the ‘Moon.
  Taffis Bornam can be presumed (and easily confirmed) to have spurned sewer entrances close to his apartment.
  The yellow sealing was on the Hanging Lantern scroll allows the supposition that the writer is the “Yellow Canary” and might be the host for the party in 5 days’ time at the Purple Dragon.
  The deceased’s rendezvous was likely to be in the KHD or in the sewers.
  Entering the KHD would likely be very risky without two vouching patrons. (The duration of a Charm spell is one hour.)

"So..." Aleica comments, "He was the Red Parrot, this Canary probably doesnt know he was killed, and they probably have no connection to his death." Sighing she takes the handwritten note and checks the words. "The Canary didnt write this, so someone was bribing him they knew he was doing something he shouldnt have.."

"The KHD.. its a risk, and a dangerous one." She adds, squeezing Nix by the hand.

[Nocturno]

"That seems to sum it up. I'm going to go see if I can make contact with a person who may be able to get us entrance, without ruffling too many feathers...."

Sue will grunt at his own joke.

"I'll go see if I can track them down."
He will pause to see if there any other suggestions, then say:
"Meet back here in the morning?"

We should be able to reach the rendezvous point through a different sewer entrance without going through the KHD... would it be possible to pose as this man and keep the meeting? I might be able to pull it off... I can be pretty convincing... Nix uses a quick cantrip to turn his eyes to a normal, greenish hue with pupils rather than the flat silver orbs. What size was this person?

[Jenara]

"We shoud find out who these people are, we could be entering all sorts of trouble. I've just found you again Nix.. be careful." Alecia warns suddenly taken back over the change.

Everyone hears bells outside ring nine times.

[Jenara]

"Nine Bells.." Alecia comments redundantly while holding her hands together. "We should talk to the street kids, tomorrow."

Nix nods in agreement.

[What is the dead-man's meeting time in relation to current game-time?]

Day before the party. That's in 5 days, so meeting is in 4 days counting today (nearly finished) as day 1.

Sue will size up Nix, thinking if he meets the same dimensions as the deceased.

"Well even if we don't need to use the KHD for the entrance, my contact will probably have some insight to this whole thing."

Noting the nine bells... Sue starts to think he should stow some of his armory at the safe house to avoid some of the suspicion the extra patrols will garner.

Naturally, he says to the half-orc's suggestion. We'll want as much information as possible... how well-known is it that this man was killed? Does it seem likely the 'Canary' would be tipped off?

"Can you make yourself look shorter and a bit more portly? A couple inches shorter, maybe 15lbs heavier?"

Sue will nod at the suggested questions.

Alecia listens and watches without comment

Maybe... if it's only a couple of inches... I suppose I could pad under the outfit too... 15 lbs isn't that much...


[would a stoop and some padding be sufficient to make the difference if he pulled off a Deception check?]
