Searching the ship

Desolate and abandoned, the evil alchemist’s mansion stands alone on the cliff, looking out towards the sea. Mysterious lights and ghostly hauntings have kept away the people of Saltmarsh, despite rumours of a fabulous forgotten treasure. What is its sinister secret?

Brax leans over the side for a moment, squeezing her hand into a fist, the muscles rippling under her clothing. "That man.." She curses under her breath and follows the others

"Bilges, I'm searching the bilges!" Gustas yells merrily, the echo down there was actually quite amusing to the heavy man as he plods around.
As he searches, he relays a verbal inventory of all the things he finds. His deep voice bellowing and bouncing round the walls of the ships hull.

"Oh my!" Kulop says. "And? Did you find something interesting? Color? Shape? By the way we are going to shower the prisoner. Maybe you would like to join him?"

"The man is mad," Martin mutters.
"Oceanus, tell me, where do you hail from? Have you been on the ship for long?"
"No matter where you go, there you are."

"These lot were a messy bunch, throwing all kinds of stuff down here. All useless though since I don't think there's anything do drink." Gustas hollers up to Kulop , the thought to taste the water crosses his mind...

Before he can most likely poison himself, Gustas is distracted by something, "Oh I didn't know there's another searching down here, Braxey is that you? Or Drakey? " he calls squinting into the mur.

Does Martin ask Oceanus the question before or after he is doused in seawater?

Kulop stands near the elf and says, "Well, you are too tall. Wait, I'll just stand on the chair...*Crrrreeaaak*" Kulop drags a chair near the elf and climbs it holding the bucket, "OK... here we go... like that... close your eyes! DON'T MOVE! whooosh!" Kulop spills the water over the elf.

"For long enough to get as weak as you see me now" Ocaenus answers Martin's question. Indeed, the elf looks like he is fading by the minute. He is too weak even to smile when Kulop draws the chair up to douse him. He turns his face up as the water rushes over him like a drought-striken man might turn up his face to rain that comes at last. When there are only glistening drops on his face, he smiles at the halfling at last. "Do you have some more of this?" he asks.

It rolled a 12.. Not sure if the link worked.

Brax watches Oceanous with a curious gaze, saying nothing she watches to see his reaction..
If her instincts were good, the water would give him strength.

Kulop, being a trusting guy, answers simply, "There is a lot of where it came from. Pity you didn't stand in a tub, we could reuse it and save time. If you can go to the deck now it will be easier. And there is that thing that Gustas was playing within, but it smells, so I'm not sure you like it. Maybe we can drill a hole in the hull so you can have a stream of water right here, but then we will have to patch it so the ship won't drown. We don't like to be wet like you. And we can die underwater. I was poisoned before by the way... I had sweat like.. like... I don't know, like a human maybe? And that is a lot for a little guy like me. And I tell you, I didn't enjoy it. Even though it is a special experience. I saw the world from upside down. Well, actually that was because Vee picked me up on her shoulder, but still..." Kulop carries away with his tale.
"What was the questions again? Oh, water... I think we are busy, but I'm not sure." he looks at Drake, "We are continuing the search right?" Then back at the elf, "Yes, we are busy, and you seems better. Maybe you can help us with the search and then we finish early and you can go swim. Or maybe you know what pieces of eight means? That parrot keeps gibrishing about it."

"Not sure how it would take to get one to this point, friend, seeing as my own elven ancestry is more of the land-borne variety. But we shall get you sorted out. Perhaps a soaking wet blanket would help hold the water on you until you regain some strength? I am a bit apprehensive about putting you in the open water in your condition, particularly with manacles on."

Oceanus smiles drily as he looks at Martin. "Believe me, the open water would be the best thing in my condition. But a soaking wet blanket would revive me enough to answer your questions." He does not really pay attention to Kulop's chatter.

Brax steps forward getting closer to Oceanus, "I think we can arrange that, cant we." Turning to Drake she gives a critical glare, "Where else do you intend to search on this vessel?"

"Stem to stern, Radiance. And we have yet to look in the most important places - the forecastle and aftcastle. Aft is traditionally where the more important passengers and officers are housed. It is there we should find the captain's quarters. I suspect there will be many items of interest there. Perhaps even logs and charts, and the official manifest. And the actual manifest. And perhaps some valuables."
