Jocelyn Blaine (The Seleya, Captain's Cabin)
"You're referring to the elven woman you mentioned, Sable?" asks Saren. "You said one of your current bodyguards used to know her well. Is it possible he might be able to help with her?"

He absently reaches for the box, then remembering it's empty, pushes it to the side. "You also said she didn't side with you at the time. But she was surrounded by pirates who were looking for blood and probably figured if she spoke in your favor, not only would it not help you but it would get her killed, too. Perhaps then, it would be better to contact her privately. If you can persuade her that she won't be in danger, she may agree to help you. It's possible in the last few years, she may have discovered some answers on who really killed the captain."

Baeros Axewielder (Shantytown)
Baeros heads to the shantytown and starts asking around among the survivors and the Seleya crewmen in the area. He doesn't learn much, as he has a penchant of insulting people and being generally rude.

What he does learn is that the two mages behind most of the damage have not been seen since, although reports state they were flying to the south on the back of that skeletal dragon last time they were sighted. He learns that there have been no significant League attacks since this one, but they seem to prefer targeting large cities. Generally they begin by infiltrating a place, then start spreading rumors that the government means to harm the people. From there, things escalate. Once the city is in chaos, then they strike. At least, that's what happened here in Deimos.

Naras Stonebreaker (Shantytown, Trading Post)
Elisa chuckles. "No offense, but you must not get out much if I'm only the third Octhanian you've ever met. We're one of the largest religions among the islands. Wait, Jocelyn? You mean Pastor Blaine? I've met her once. We gave her a ride here, actually, a couple of weeks back. Pretty raven-haired woman, blue eyes, followed around by an exotic cadre of bodyguards? Yeah, the captain and a few of us had dinner with her group back in Tu'Valie."

She shrugs. "Never got their names. You'd think anyone who stood out so much would be well known, but I guess they're good at keeping a low profile after all. The old woman is in a shanty on the south end of the trading post. Don't know if she'll talk to a Gontorian, though. Anyway, I have a patrol about to head in that direction in a couple of minutes, if you want to tag along with them. Disease hasn't been a problem so far, our own clerics are pretty good at that sort of thing. Watch out for slaadi, though. If they lay eggs in you, you'll need a modified Remove Curse to get rid of them."

Naras Stonebreaker (Shantytown, Trading Post)
“No offense taken, Elisa. Actually you’re right; it really does seem that I haven’t got out much. Yes, Pastor Blaine, that’s the one,” confirms Naras. “I will go with the patrol. I’m sure you’re right about the old woman. Do you suppose the patrol could swing past to pick up Rumari? She might have a better chance with the old woman.”

"I was kind of under the impression that Gallath was on bad terms with Sable, but I haven't looked too deeply into it just yet," Jocelyn admits. "But Sable does seem to be my best bet at dealing with this peacefully." Jocelyn still looks uneasy about the whole situation, but she at least seems to be taking into consideration what Saren has to say. "This is probably the first time that I've gone into great detail about any of this to anyone."

Getting nothing but bad reactions from all around him Baeros, who heard during his research that patrols are going into the city looking for survivals, decides to join such a group. After all, this is HIS island. He asks who organizes such patrols, the length of such patrol, and offers to join if he will be back in time when they board the Bullring and continue on. "please inform Jocelyn, or Saren or Sierra captain of the Bullring my whereabouts and time of return." he asks the organizer, making sure they won't worry about him... Too much.

"Hello, Zarva" Ouragna greets the gnomish woman. Then she gestures to the boats. "I can magically mend wood so that it is as good as new. What should I do here?"

Jocelyn Blaine (The Seleya, Captain's Cabin)
"I'm not surprised," Saren responds. "It doesn't sound like a very fun topic of conversation. And telling just anyone could even be dangerous. But nevertheless, Octhanus teaches us that not all wounds are physical. It is as important, if not more important, to treat the mind and soul as well as the body. However, there is no spell that can heal souls or minds. Only by discussing it with someone can you hope to get better. This kind of therapy is usually a service provided by clerics of Octhanus."

Ouragana Stormbride (Deimos Harbor)
"Oh, hello," Zarva says, turning to face Ouragana. "I...I remember you. We've met before, haven't we? I think...in Tu'Valie? Yes, that's right. You and your crew dined with us. I thought you boarded that big galleon and left, though."

She gestures to the three boats. "If you can do something to help, I'm sure the people will appreciate it. They are eager to get things back to normal. I suppose you know your own magic better than I do, though. Proceed in whichever way you think is best."

Baeros Axewielder (Shantytown, Trading Post)
Asking a passing marine about patrols, Baeros is directed to the trading post in the shantytown and told to speak with Elisa Flores. He remembers her as being the red haired woman who is the first mate of the Seleya.

Heading in that direction, he spots her speaking with an old woman that is wearing the blue vestments of Octhanus. "Ah, hail and well met," she says to the ranger. "Wait, I remember you. You were one of Blaine's bodyguards, right? You want to go on a patrol, too? Well, I suppose we can use all of the help we can get. You should be warned, though. There are still some Slaadi out there in the city. You faced one before, didn't you?"

Gallath (Deimos Harbor)
Gallath starts toward the Seleya, but on the way there he spots a familiar face. It's Naishe, the woman he met on the Bullring before. She doesn't notice him, but keeps looking over her shoulder, as if expecting to be ambushed. Trying not to draw attention to herself, she slips away from the shantytown, toward the city.

Drav Arellax (Shantytown, Trading Post)
Asking around, Drav picks up on the trail of the uncouth ranger by listening for people complaining about him. He's eventually led to the trading post that was set up in the middle of the shantytown. He sees Baeros speaking with a human woman with a sailor's tan and short, red hair.

Naras Stonebreaker (Ruined City, South)
"I can speak with Rumari," Elisa says. "If you want to go with the patrol, they're leaving now."

Naras meets up with the patrol as they are heading out. The patrol consists of three men and three women. All are human, save for one dwarven woman. All are armed with cutlasses, daggers and crossbows.

They move into the city proper, walking down the street while keeping a close eye out. The buildings seem deserted and many are badly burned. It's clear that this place is much larger than Narin--about twelve times as big. As Naras thinks of Narin as an 'urban' place, it likely boggles her mind to see a city of this size, even if it is in tatters.

Naras readies out her small shield and spear and says to the patrol, "I'm Naras. What can you tell me about Slaadi that have been encountered here?"
She does her best to fit in, and tries to work out who's the patrol leader.

"Elisa said they can lay eggs in you. How?" Naras adds belatedly.
"Oh and I'm looking for any blue-toned air genasai, too. Any ideas?"

Val continues to advance on the captors, looking to try her new trident out. She continues to swim toward Mist knowing she can hold her breath for a long time, but not forever.

Hopefully they will come en mass......

"Oh, I know," Jocelyn admits. "I've done this type of thing before with others. I just never thought I would be the one sitting in the patient chair," she says with a light smile. "Which kind of brings me to my other issue. You have probably figured out that I have a hard time relating to people. I don't know how to help Ouragana."

"Slaadi! You mean that ugly frog men. Yes! Scum! They almost killed Takit. But we will be more careful now, and now we know how to deal with them if they lay eggs in us, right? With the dogs we will have better chance getting heads up for Slaadi, and better chance at finding survivors. Hopper is more mature now, he grew pretty much during the last few weeks we were away." suddenly Baeros notices Drav behind him, "Are you spying on me?" he says with a crooked smile, then give him strong pet on his shoulder, "gotcha. You join us searching for survivors?"

"Me and my crew... that sounds strange" Ouragana says to Zarva, puzzled. "I'm just one of the group, not a leader at all. Yes, we've come on that galleon..." She drifts off, then pulls herself together. "In Tu'Valie, they use magic to live in luxury. Here, there are more pressing needs." She nods to Zarva in goodbye and approaches the fishermen.

"Greetings. I am Ouragana, a Storm Sorcerer. We help navigate ships, but we hava also learnt to magically repair boats. What to we have here?"
She casts Mending on the boats, then says goodbye to the fishermen and returns to the ship.
