Oh, man. So that's not just an American thing then? I am constantly getting into arguments with people about what the definition of 'fat' is. Seems like most people think that if you can't count the girls' ribs through her skin, then she's overweight.

Anyway, taking her height and weight into consideration with a STR of 16, then Vee is actually fairly muscular, too (although not as much as Brax). Enough so that she might appear intimidating, maybe even Amazonian, if she wants to. Certainly I wouldn't want to challenge her to arm-wrestling or anything like that!

As for Amon, I guess it comes down to taste, heh. The funny thing about him was that I didn't arrange his stats. I rolled them down the line and kept them. So it's totally a coincidence that his DEX is terrible and his CHA is great. It makes for a fun exercise for me to try and justify his stats.

I agree, I never said otherwise. Although 'attractive' is completely subjective, of course! But I don't think either of those women (who I admit, I had to google as I had never head of them), have a STR of 16. Remember, that score means you can bench press 200 pounds! Krista Schaus would be a better example, as I've actually seen a video (profanity warning) of her doing just that. Of course, she's 145 pounds and 5'4" as opposed to 94 lbs and 5'0".

I never thought of Charisma as "attractiveness." More like "force of personality." I've met plenty of people who are really attractive but are about as personable as cardboard.

As far as Searos goes, I kind of picture him a little thinner than what he is and I might take some weight off of him because my image is basically a tall guy who has been malnourished for years.

For Gunter, I never noticed his weight. I feel like he should probably be like 50 or so pounds heavier, at least.

As far as athletes go, I always think of NFL players. One of strength tests they make everybody do is to bench 225 pounds as many times as they can. Its pretty crazy.

Yes, you're right. Charisma is not physical appearance, although people get those two mixed up a lot. Even in 1E, they introduced a score just for physical appearance (comeliness) although it never caught on, for obvious reasons (it's an easy dump score, it has no bearing on the game, and it's completely subjective).

Quoting from the 2E PHB itself:

"Charisma measures a character's persuasiveness, personal magnetism and ability to lead. It is not a reflection of physical attractiveness, although attractiveness certainly plays a role."

Amon's high CHA is reflected in that he is fairly likable, unoffensive, and can get along with most people. Echo, on the other hand, has a fairly low CHA, because she's off-putting, rude, and condescending.

He is 6'8", weighs 319 pounds, and did 21 reps of 225 pounds last year. The man he smushes was a normal human being.

Yes, Kim has a very high STR score for a mage, could have been a fighter/mage. I picture Kim as one of these types you can meet in workshops or on farms, looking like nothing, thin and sinewy, but they do the heavy work seemingly without effort. Also, having been the steward of a fairly large country estate, Kim will have had the fighting training typical of a young nobleman.
The low charisma, to me, reflects that Kim is not open and friendly, can be quite arrogant at times. The social skills are under-developed. Proof: the failed attempt to show friendship to Amon...

Yep, plus Kim is...hmm, how do I put it? Something of a mystery. Kim has all kinds of barriers up. It's very difficult to get close to Kim, I think, because of all the secrets and what have you. It's difficult to trust someone so enigmatic and emotionally stoic, which would be why people would be unlikely to follow Kim.

Yeah i just took a look at Gunter's weight and he should definitely be a little more meaty! I did the creation through the Core Rules program and I guess I had the setting on 'bean pole'.

Can anyone point me to a good site about boating and seafaring? I hardly know what the parts of a boat or ship are called in German (being more of a mountaineer than a sailor), let alone in English...

I use a splatbook called "Of Ships and the Sea" as it includes all kinds of useful information on boats, ships, nautical terms, and so forth.

I don't know any websites about that sort of thing, but I'll dig around and see what I can find.
