"It'll be easier to come up with a good strategy when we decide on where our battlefield will be," Kynaston says.
The bell above the front door rings, and Haahqae steps inside. Raetmal steps out front and then nods to him. "The others await you in the back," he tells the gnome.

"They await me? Oh my goodness, has it been an hour already? I better not keep them waiting." Haahqae keeps gadgets from falling out of his pockets as he rushes across the room to join the others in the back.

Tulbas raises his eyes as Haaque steps through the door. "You have arrived quickly. Good. We have a lot to do. Would you like a cup of tea before we go and find Kendra?"

Haahqae adjusts the objects to lie comfortably in his pockets and takes a seat. "Oh tea would be nice, thank you. So tell me, where do we plan to find Kendra? Do you know where she's posted today? Perhaps preventing another riot in town square?"

While pouring a cup of tea for Haaque, then refilling the others' cups Tulbas says, "Gregeddin suggested to go to Norris's shop. He said he might know her whereabouts or at least where she lives."

"Indeed, she may be resting her wounds still, and that Jeweller Norris could help us find her. We also plan to go and scout out the ship and surrounding area in preparation for the confrontation that inevitably awaits us this evening."

"Hmm, yes quite, she did mention that she knew him. But then I've known plenty of shop keepers that have no idea where I live. I'm not even sure if all of them knew I was a gnome. But even if it's a long shot, it's worth a try." Haahqae offers, sipping his tea. "I would say inevitable is a rather strong word for this confrontation. I'm sure it won't happen if we just don't go, or don't get there in time or, well... That old goblin we met on the road seemed to make it sound like all my questions will be answered soon, and if some of those answers should tell me difinitively that I shouldn't participate in that fight, it might not be the best idea. Hmm, that reminds me, I should be asking questions so that when my questions are answered I know more. Is rescuing Daxia a good idea? Who will die in the fight tonight? What is our best strategy for dealing with the Cavalier? Who should I ask to learn more about Fistandantilus?" Haahqae trails off, asking similar such questions.

Tulbas listens to Haaque carefully. When the little Gnome pauses to take breath he quickly says with a smile, "Let's start with finding Kendra, shall we?", clears off the table and shows the others out.

Darga nods. "Th' more of us there are, th' better our chances. We should find Kendra. She's got family here in town, right? Mebbe her kin might know where she is?"

The party steps outside to find that the rain has let up, so they head to the jewelry shop where Norris works, arriving there around noontime.
When they step inside, Norris is there to greet them, but he looks put off by their arrival. "You lot again," he says. "Whatever it is you are selling now, I can't afford to buy it, I'm afraid. The last batch nearly cleaned me out."
"No, no, we're not here to buy or sell," Kynaston explains. "We're looking for Kendra."
"She's not here; she's still recuperating from her wounds," Norris says.
"Right, so, where can we find her?" the burly warrior asks.
Norris looks at them suspiciously. "Why? You're not trying to rope her up in another dangerous job, are you? More demon slaying or something like that? She doesn't need to engage in such poppycock any longer; we'll be wed in a few days, and the last thing anyone needs is you lot getting her killed before then."

Darga shakes his head in response to Norris's suspicion. "No one's gonna get killed. An' if she don't want ta come along, nobody's gonna make her. But along with tha rest'uv us," he says, gesturing to his companions, "she promised ta help someone in trouble." He pauses, just long enough to let Norris think his words over. "If'n yer close enough ta yer woman ta marry her, ya know as well as me that she'll want ta see her words through. Protectin' others is what she does, why she joined tha Seekers, yeah? Now she's got a good reason ta protect someone. Ya sure ya don't know where she is?"

Tulbas keeps himself behind the others waiting for Norris's answer. 'The man has got a point, but still, as Darga said, it should be Kendra's decision' Tulbas thinks to himself.

Norris sighs. "She joined the Holy Guard because she needed the money, not to protect others. I assure you, she's only just trying to survive, not save the world. As for where she is...she's at her mother's place, hopefully resting. 2723 Crooked Road, down in the harbor district."

Gregeddin nods and strokes his chin in thought.
Excellent we have an address! He thought to himself, Darga s words were rather persuasive.

"Thank you." Tulbas says from the back of the group and exits the shop. As the others follow he lets them lead the way.
