Airand joins them a little nervously, but seems to forget to be tense once they begin talking about music. That's a good idea, moving between different emotions in a pattern.. umm... i think Azi likes "Falling Leaves"... it's kind of melancholy, but we could work that in maybe?

"Oh that a great idea! And we have to find a song for Laisa too, I like those two." She nudges Elsa translating as she speaks, "So we go fast, happy jaunty tunes, then we slow it down, play Falling Leaves, then some slow songs, in the middle I think you should have a solo, before speeding it up again. How does that work?" Strumming a slow tune she regards him for a moment.

"Thank you for doing this, any tips we split down the middle, thats only fair. I wouldnt be here without your help." She turns her attention to Elsa, "Would you like us to play a song from from home? I have a while to learn it..."

Well... the young man thinks aloud, Laisa likes anything bouncy, so I'm sure whatever we start with will be good to her. He nods along with the rest of the bard's reasonings, That seems fair. I really didn't help all that much, just some translations I guess. His voice is even for a change, but his face flushes crimson. Elsa watches the young musician with a broad grin. Turning to Mira, she speaks Elven, I don't know if I could explain one well enough. I don't play any instruments and I'm not much of a singer.

"Excellent, she seems to enjoy the Music, just like me." She regards him a moment, shaking her head, "You doubt yourself, thats silly. You did so much more than that." shaking her head once again she nods. "Elsa, if you could write me some words, I will do all I can, perhaps in Elven."

"Right, practice?" She eases the lute into her hands and starts to play a little tune, waiting for Airand to join her.

(Thus they practice for at least an hour).

Oh, that's ok. I wouldn't know how to convey the notes anyway, I like the songs you play. Don't worry about me.

The bards practice while Elsa listens, tapping her toe. Airand shows some skill, but he is clearly not very practiced at playing along with someone. After a few songs he seems to get a little better at it, but to Mira it is still obvious.

"Nice, very nice, you know your way around that instrument. As I thought. I feel like I'm drowning you with my words and my playing." Rubbing her temple she pauses thinking, how to deal with this without hurting his feelings? He obviously needed more practice..

"I know, I'll open, play a few songs, you come on and accompany me for a song, Perhaps Falling Leaves Its haunting and it suits a slow Violin, I'll leave, get some food, let you play a few songs. Then I'll join you for one more, something instrumental to get people dancing. Then would you mind if I finish the set? Its my last show here for a while and... honestly I'll miss it." She smiles widely and hopes he reacts ok.

"We can practice Falling Leaves more if you like? I remember what it was to learn.."

Oh.. umm... I guess that sounds ok. I don't really sing much, though, so I guess my own numbers would be just instrumentals like at the festival... Or we could do one where I play and you sing?

[Ooc: He mostly has trouble matching tempo, but Mira could probably compensate for it by adjusting her own tempo during the song]

"I've actually never done that. The thought didn't even occur to me." With that they practice some of the songs she had translated to Harmonian..

The two practice until a few minutes before showtime with Elsa listening happily. The halfling makes her way downstairs so the bards can make an entrance.

Sorry went drinking Friday... Had parade Sunday for Rememberance so my weekend was a bust.

Mira shakes her head softly and pads across the floor in her bare feet, opening the door slowly she steps inside.

Elsa, already having finished her evening devotions and dressed for bed in a woolen nightgown, greets Mira at her return. Dropping off their shares? You played wonderfully tonight! I bet you're excited to see Yasir in the morning, huh? Oh, thanks for your help with Pyros tonight! Sometimes I just don't get him, but I guess it's just his way and I'll figure it out eventually.
