"I just want to find her." Jerrard muses softly, "Thank you for helping us, sorry." He blushes.

On the far side of the clearing from the party Fikod comes to a slow halt in the cover of a particularly dark and veiny-looking shrubbery. One clever hand goes to into his pack as he sends a muffled whistle to Babushka meant only for her ears. "I cannae follow ye with the group." His mustachios jiggle slightly with the effort of his pack-search. He smiles slowly as his search stops, withdrawing a stoppered flask.

"It is a trap and they be too blind to see it," he says, unstoppering it. "Yet I cannot see ye lead to death so I will follow in the shadow and offer what support I can from there." He dips a bolt into the viscous fluid contained within the flask with the utmost of care, blowing on it slightly to dry it before he places it in the crossbow's knock. "Ye may relay this to the others in any manner ye see fit, I simply thought ye should know I have not abandoned ye."

He finishes, winding his crossbow so that it is ready for use.

Babushka nods. "You must do what you must do" she says to Fikod. "Let us continue our check."

When they arrive back at the group, Babuhska declares: "If this is a trap, it is of a different kind than what we encountered before. There is no one in ambush around the perimeter. In fact, I found hardly any tracks at all." She then turns to Dara. "Which is the way the centaurs usually go? There should be some of their tracks at least there."

"If you are going, take Ulster or Thuskar, please." Jerrard suggests as Babuskha returns, "Find her, please."

"I'm going!" Locky purses her lips, "Come on." With that she waits.

Dara shakes her head at Imani. "You think they let your friend roam freely? Just because they desire human women doesn't mean they trust them."

To Babushka, when she returns, Dara adds, "Naturally, centaurs are creatures of the forest. They are experts at hiding their tracks from anyone they don't want to find them."

Assuming nobody pulls any further weapons on her, she turns and approaches the lip of the pit.

Locky follows, standing by the pit, looking inside.

Fikod never quite falls into party order, disappearing to the best of his ability into the brush.

Imani follows after Dara, quietly.

Babushka turns to Ulster and Thuskar before following Imani. "Would you cover the rear, please?" she tells them, looking if Jerrard follows her.

Jerrard stays with Thuskar and Ulster, watching the others get closer.

Fikod vanishes into the brush, keeping a sharp eye out on things. Ulster, Thuskar, Jerrard and Jeremy remain behind, while the others move forward to the pit.

While Imani and Babushka remain behind Dara, Locky walks right up to the pit with her and looks inside. At the bottom of the pit is some kind of metal seal on the ground.

The seal has strange markings on it. Although Locky cannot identify them specifically, it's quite obvious to her that they are symbols representing a great evil.

She looks up at Dara only to see that the elf's eyes have become completely white and she has a disturbing and macabre grin upon her face. The kender doesn't even have time to call out a warning before something suddenly rises from the pit and forces itself into her mind, completely dominating her.

Suddenly, a number of elves burst from different points in the ground, clearly quite dead. Each one wears chain mail and seems remarkably well-preserved as they claw themselves up to the surface, then draw their blades.

As one, Locky and Dara turn toward the others and ready their weapons. They both speak--as one--with a dark, otherworldly voice. "Fools! You shall all be consumed by the Unnameable!" Both of their eyes are completely white.

(OOC: Locky is now possessed and under my control.)

Making no noise other than the deep thrumming of a once-taught string, Fikod lets loose the bolt he has specially prepared for Dara. (I don't know if you can use backstabs with ranged weapons, or even if it counts as this point, but if he can use one then now would be his time ^^;)

Rolls: 6 init, 4 attack, 5 dmg (>_<)

Babushka draws two arrows and shoots them at the undead elf #6, then drops the bow to draw her longtooth and normal dagger for the next round.

INIT 5, hits AC 5, hits AC 6, damage rolls: 1d8, 1d8=[8], [6] (I had first rolled 2d6, my mistake)

"Jerrard, we need a spell that can hold those two until we are done with these elves," Imani calls out to the mage as she pulls out her scimitars. "Babushka, get behind the columns. Ulster, Thuskar, we need you to draw those elves towards the two of you. I'll join you after Locky and Dara are taken care of. Jeremy, concentrate your attack on the elves."

As she is right in front of Dara and Locky, she goes on full defense to protect Babushka from the two of them until she can get out of the way from them.

Init Roll (8)
