Darga nods his gratitude to the jeweler. "Thank ya. I know that what we're doin' is risky work, but ya have m'promise that yer woman will come back unharmed."

With this information in hand, the party once again heads back to the harbor district and searches for Kendra's house. They find it; a run down shack that makes even Kynaston's place seem swanky by comparison. And he lives alone; Norris mentioned Kendra lived with a family. It's a wonder more than a single person could live in such a small place.

Kynaston knocks on the door and an older woman answers; elegant looking, despite her ragged clothing. "Y-Yes?" she asks, slightly intimidated by the group of armed strangers at her doorstep.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but we're looking for one Kendra Synclair," he says. In the back, Kendra hears her name and recognizes Kynaston's voice.

Kendra stands up from where she was sitting, and walks over to look over her mother's shoulder. "Um, what are you guys doing here?" she asks. Naturally, she looks a little embarrassed that they managed to find out where she lived. "It's okay, mom. I know them."

"Don'tcha worry, there are no demons this time." Haahqae answers with a grin.

"Mrs. Synclair" Tulbas addresses her formally, bowing his head. "There has been development regarding Daxia. Would you like to help us saving her? That is being injured and soon to be married, we will understand refusal." Tulbas says quietly.

"Let's talk about this outside," she says to the group as she moves around her mother to get outside. "And yes, I know them, mother. It's okay."

Darga nods in understanding. "Outside, then." Turning to Kendra's family, he apologizes for their intrusion. "Sorry ta disturb ya. We won't be long."

Once outside, Darga says, "What Tulbas says is true--th' elf girl is in a mess o' trouble, but we mean ta do somethin' about it. I know that yer busy wit' yer own life an' all, an' we kin understand if ya can't er won't come wit'. But ya helped us out before, an' we could use yer help again if yer willin' to."

"Err, and it's urgent. Daxia is going to be delivered to the Ergothians tonight, and we still have to survey the harbors."

"And this information couldn't have waited until we met up this evening?" Kendra asks as she looks between the men.

"That there is correct. I'm a little unsure why myself, but Tulbas seems quite keen that our plan is ironed out before we start the initiation ceremony, or ritual or whatever cults use these days. I'm just guessing it has something to do with the Ergothian Cavalier."

Gregeddin adds following Haahqae, "And we could use your advice on military strategy, given my poor track record..."

"Military strategy?" Kendra asks in confusion. "I'm hardly a strategist when it comes to things like this," she admits, though she seems a little amused that they think that she is. "All right, so what exactly are we facing?"

Kynaston fills Kendra in on the missing details--about the Ergothians, the riverboat, the cavalier, and their plans to ambush them in order to rescue Daxia that night.

Kendra bites at her lower lip lightly as she considers the information that was just given to her. "Nothing can be planned until we take a look at the harbor," she says.
