Yasir will give the flask a shake before opening it and giving its contents a sniff. If yasir does not detect any obviously dangerous scents he will take a long pull from the flask. It seems to fit what he is looking for so yasir will reach once more into his coin pouch to grab the coin to buy the item.

Yasir will attempt to learn more details of this apparent toll bridge, is it dangerous, are the people there evil and how many are there? Yasir stumbles over the appropriate way to mime all this out, drawing out the details to make his points more clear.

Mira, Pyros and Elsa: Toad's toe
Hmm... that;s an odd language... How about Elven? You look like an elf child, after all... The old man muses aloud. When did elves turn to burglary at such a young age... shameful... His voice sounds more amused than upset at the intrusion. Mira calms herself gradually, and concentrates on the effects she is feeling... Though it is beyond her ability, she recalls a common spell that causes a form of harmless paralyzation... so long as nothing attacks her in the meantime...


Yasir: Blacksmith Shop
Swirling the contents of the flask, the powerful warrior takes a cautious sniff and is greeted with the aroma of strong spirits. He downs the remainder of the liquid, which is of average quality but quite strong. When he moves to pay the man, John waves his offer away, indicating that it is a gift. Yasir then struggles to express his questions, but the complexity of the request makes it fairly impossible to convey with his limited miming abilities...

"Good sir! I am no elf child. I am a Kender. Weheardasound.Itsoundedlikeyouwerehurt!Wecameintoseeifwecouldbeofassistance!" Pyros will blurt this out, without really thinking.

He spoke Elven? Thank the gods.. Mira muses still unable to move.

The man had to be wizard, Elsa had said clerics didn't function as well here, and as yet she hadn't met anyone who can cast clerical magic... It had possibilities.

Light blind me, what did I do to deserve a Kender in my home… he shakes his head only half-jokingly. Scratching the silver beard around his chin and upper lip with his free hand, the man speaks again. I think that I believe you… Would you like to know what made the ruckus? He hardly pauses before continuing, but lowers his voice as if he is imparting a secret… I was working on a strange and dangerous concoction… my hand was poised to pour the final ingredient, a very delicate process… Just as the volatile liquid began to flow over the edge into the other components… someone started beating on my front door and shouting! The last was said only a little louder than a normal voice, but after the whispering it sounded almost like a shout to the Kender’s ears.

"Well, maybe a fresh set of young nimble hands could help! Ilikehelping!Myhandsaresosteady!Look,theydon'tshakeabit."

"Elsa, Lady Bard, he seems to be friendly! Hey, where are you guys?" Pyros will look back at the door.

Mira stands motionless at in the doorway.

Mira, Pyros and Elsa: Toad’s Toe. (9:30 AM)
The weathered face takes on a bemused expression, I think you have ‘helped’ quite enough… I wasn’t planning on opening shop quite so early, but unless you were planning to rob me you must want something. Unless you make a habit of going around banging on peoples locked doors in the early morning… not impossible…

Pyros’ attention, fickle as the wind, finally turns back to his friends long enough to realize they are frozen in place and cannot move. The old man follows his gaze and scrubs his chin again… The Red Bard… strange company you keep these days… terminus! The final word is said with conviction and power, and the numbness recedes from Mira’s body. She hears Elsa take a deep breath somewhere behind her, and the Halfling rushes forward to stand by Pyros. Sorry to intrude, sir. she says quickly, in Elven. We heard the cry and thought you were in danger so we let ourselves in. He gets a little excitable sometimes but he doesn’t mean any harm, really! The human’s thin hair shakes as he gives a full-bellied Harumph!

Now that the situation has diffused somewhat, the details of the room begin to become more apparent. The room is about 10’ wide, and just as deep, but the counter separates the far side. An old oaken door set in the center of the back wall stands partially open, and all manner of odd smells and bubbling sounds come from beyond, along with a faint lamplight. The front counter divides the room in two and is probably 4’high but stretches the full width of the room with no visible way to cross beyond into the back. Rows of narrow shelving adorn the back wall with dozens of books, nick-nacks, vials, scrolls, obvious spell components, mushrooms, small stone statues, lichens clinging to stones and who knows what else.

Pyros will look around. If anything is truly unusual it will catch his eye.

"We are hoping to find some material for bandages. Elsa here used up her bandages on our trip to town."

Mira takes two deep breaths, her chest moving in and out as she slowly regains herself once more..

"You know me?" She asks in Harmonia, "Pyros.. Is Pyros." She explains, "We truly meant no harm, we were just overzealous" she slips into Elven, taking a step Forward. "Mira." She offers a hand. "Pyros is correct, we are looking for Bandages, and some herbs?" She asks turning to Elsa, giving a sigh of relief that the Cleric was OK.

Bandages... he says flatly, staring first at the Kender, then at Elsa. Bandages I have, he shrugs as the fact is inconsequential to him, for this you batter my door down so early? Turning to Mira, from you, at least, I expected something more... interesting... Serath said you might stop by...

Mira's first question is all instinct and suspicion, but he deflects it deftly. Hah! Know of you, perhaps. To say I know you would be far too generous... though I think you'd prove interesting company... He takes her hand in his right and shakes, but she notices his left never leaves the amber wand though it remains relaxed. Rautaunt DuBuisson, my dear. Alchemist, Herbalist, Researcher and purveyor of the arcane and unusual... Mira confirms the Kender's statement about bandages. Elsa begins listing off some herbs she will need, but the odd names are unfamiliar to her companions.

Yes, yes I have all of that, he replies, hardly listening as he watches the bard expectantly, gather it all myself, or pay someone to for the rarer stuff... When Mira says no more, he turns his full attention to Elsa. Looking her up and down in a way that makes her shift her feet, he stuns her with his next question. Do you have kin nearby, tallfellow, or are you from... 'elsewhere'? The emphasis of the final word is plain.

"Elsewhere?" Mira interjects with a wink, "By the aybss Chislev is shining on us." She exclaims, not letting go of his hand, "You are obviously an interesting fellow, if I would have known someone like you was nearly I would have come knocking weeks ago. I am not trying to flatter you, it is merely a fact."

"As for me, yes I have made a bit of a stir, do you know the women think I am trying to steal their sons, I wouldnt be surprised if they thought husbands too.." Her smile is quite wide, betraying her humor at that thought, she did have her eye on a few.. "We might have a lot to talk about..." She trails off, realising she spoke much of what was on her mind, perhaps that was a side effect of being un .. Frozen?

Pyros will ooh and ahh as he looks over some trinkets.

Everything in pyro's sight is fascinating (except the books) but unfortunately everything is also far out of reach!

He moves to free his hand initially, but is content to leave it be for now. Stealing the men, eh... Hah! These people will believe anything if it's cruel or harsh... Even so, they're surprisingly blind to what they don't want to see... take your friends for instance, He nods in Pyros and Elsa's general direction, I'd wager they've hardly looked at them twice, but I'm sure they're the only two of their kind in the city... never seen a Kender and halfling together before, but then again I've only ever met a handful of Kender before...

"At least you know what a Kender is, this elf child nonsense... Could I uh see that?" Pyros will point at a bauble that is red.
