Look, bryant's made the same mistake as me, assuming the door is open.
For arguments sake, lets assume the dwarf opened them, i've edited my last post to say the dwarf opened the door.
Can we please agree an order?

Never posted that the doors were wide open, only yelled at the dwarf, after putting my head through the wood of one side of the doors, to pull them open, indicating that they were unlocked.
Once again, I have not gamed for about 5 yrs. I have gone over my posts with my hubby, who is more experienced than I, and he says they make sense. If everyone feels that I am not putting enough detail, that my posts cause nothing but misunderstanding, then lets end the game now before there is any arguing or hard feelings. What say you all?

And now for something completely different..........
So far, the marching order, single file, is:
Drake
Kelos
Beillion
Sim
Evis
Martin

I think we a all getting used to each other and your style, just a few teething problem, nothing more.
Can i make a request, can everyone post in a bright colour (ie not black) the backdrop doesn't appear on my pdas screen, hence i can't read the text properly.
I just have to figure out how to do the same on my pda...
Edit found it.

I think we just need to get used to each other. I'll certainly ask questions if I don't understand something. And if I (or anyone else) gets the wrong idea, I am sure LWW will be glad to correct us, right?
I've been DMing for a long time (decades on the tabletop and about three and a half years on a PBMB) and I can tell you that even at the tabletop things sometimes don't get across to the players the way the DM intended.
PBMB adds to the confusion by preventing the players from asking quick questions to clarifying minor points and preventing the DM from using all sorts of nonverbal communication. Although it does have the benefit of allowing the DM to carefully pick their words when it comes to dialogue with NPCs, or when they want to avoid giving too many clues away when there is a mystery for the PCs to solve.

I think we shouldn't take anything for granted here. If anyone has innate abilities (ie. infravision or detect hidden doors) we should make sure we state we are using said ability to clarify our intentions. Just a thought.

Yes, but it was still quite enjoyable.

BryantTheSwordsman posted the following over in the game thread:
BryantTheSwordsman wrote:
OOC:This color means I am speaking
I am not sure whether BTS meant that he was going to use blue to indicate that his character is speaking, or that he was claiming the color blue for his character's use.
The English language standard is to have all dialogue in quotes("like so," said Stik), but in addition I really like the idea of character dialogue being in color, and also for each particular character to have their own particular color (which is why I've been using
purple text for all of Martin's stuff), which really helps the other players quickly recognize which PC is speaking.
For Out of Character stuff, in the PBMB game I run, my players and I have gotten in the habit of using [OOC] this format, including a slash to close the Out of Character bits [/OOC] just like html code. The brackets and capital letters really set OOC stuff apart from the regular text.
Just a suggestion (or a few suggestions).

I don't really mind either way.
I think there may be times, in game, where [OCC] chat may be necessary but otherwise brainstorm thread for lengthy discussions out of character.
I think quotes would suffice but I admit alternate colors for each character would be easy to identify (if we were all consistent).
Me, I'll continue to use quotes and blue for speech and black for character actions and astriks in color for thought. *Kaber thinks a moment*
I wonder if I should choose a different theme for Snickerpuss if he ever does something more than "Squeek"?
