The captain points to the entrance he just directed Noah to. "As for how long this trip will take...well, the wind is in our favor and is fairly strong. If it stays that way, probably no more than a couple of days."

"I'm glad to hear that," Oren said with a relieved look on his face to the captain. "I like to look at the boats, but, well, ridin in 'em's a differ'nt story. I had a right bad experience when I was but a young lad out on the mere... he pauses just a moment and a look of dread passes over his face only briefly then suddenly back to his normal jovial grin, but this seems a fine lot to enjoy the ride with!" "Specially the pretty lasses who just come aboard with ye." he said in a lower tone to the gnome. "Are they spoken fer?"

She drops off her back, but retains her pouches and sword.

"It is different," Jocelyn said as she walked past the elf towards Val. "Who is Mist?" she asked.

"Heh, why not ask them yourself?" Dahn answers the dwarf.

"Raise anchor! Open the sails!" Scragsplitter calls to his crew with a hint of impatience. The crew is so busy doing so, that none of them even notice the orca whale surface about thirty yards from the starboard side.
Once the anchor is up and the sails open, the wind begins to eagerly fill the latter. The ship starts to move at once and a crew person takes the wheel as the ship leaves port and moves out to sea, to the west.

Below, Arei places her pack near Noah, giving him an understanding look. "You are stuck baby sitting?" She asks, broaching conversation.

The crews' quarters is a simple, small room packed with twenty cots, each large enough for a human. Of the twenty cots, at least eight of them have personal objects (packs, weapons, clothes, etc.) on top of or beneath them. The remaining twelve are available, those furthest away from the ladder leading up to the deck. (Well, remaining nine, as Noah, Grey and Areilon have now all claimed cots.)

Noah lounges in his cot lazily, his large belly protruding upward. He has his hands behind his head and he appears to be chewing on a piece of bacon he procured from somewhere.

He sits up abruptly at Areilon's question, having nearly dozed off there for a second. "Hmm? What?" He stretches a bit as he finishes off the bacon. "I guess you could say that, in a manner of speaking. I'm not much for training acolytes. Never been my thing. But the church was insistent she be trained, and by me of all folk. Go figure."

"Perhaps they felt you were the best for the job?" Arei says with a wink, "I was trained by my first Captain. He took a shine to me." She adds, "She is green."

Leaving her pack she gives Dahn a nod. "I belong in the rigging, the wind in my hair, this is my world."

"So yer a sailor by nature, miss elf?" he asks Arei. He waits a moment, then, "Me old dad was a fisherman, he was on the meres ever day and there was nery a day when I didn't join 'im." He pauses, again lost in a bad memory he can't seem to shake, "but that was a long time ago now...still it will do me good bein back out on the water agin, I suppose," he says stretching his arms in front of him. "And, beggin yer pardon miss, but I forgot yer name from earlier, sometimes takes me a bit to remember such things," he pauses briefly then remembers he forgot to ask the gnome his name as well as they had not been introduced before, "and yers too, my friend," he says to the gnome.
