"Oh, really? So how did she react whenever you brought a young man home?" Hollidan asks, curious.

"I..." Echo stammers. Normally, she was very confident in herself, but this line of questioning made her uncomfortable. "I didn't bring very many men home, but I know she would be friendly," Echo admits. "But she wouldn't want to take the man's interest away from me."

"Well, that's good," Hollidan says. Perhaps sensing her discomfort, he lets the topic drop. "How is the kobold behaving itself?"

"From what I have seen," Echo says. "Though, he also believes I can kill him with just a touch of my finger, so that might have something to do with it," she adds. "Why all the questions about my mother, anyway?" she asks.

"Uhh...nothing," Hollidan says. "I was going to try and use it to mess with you, but then I felt bad about it," he admits.

"Don't feel sorry for me," Echo says. "I've all ready heard it all before when it comes to my mother," she adds. She wasn't being defensive, but there was a certain tone that suggested that she was a bit angry at the idea that he was going to use her mother to mess with her. "Speaking of Keet," she says, changing the subject, "I think I should go check on him." She turns away from him to search for the kobold.

Echo finds Keet with Renegade. He is brushing her, or trying to. As he's so short, he can't really reach very high.

Seeing that Keet is actually staying out of trouble, providing her horse doesn't kick him or something, she searches for Nuvain.

Nuvain is sitting by himself, slowly eating his meal in a leisurely manner.

Echo sits down next to Nuvain. "Hi," she says, sounding a bit grumpy. Though, she always seems a bit grumpy.

"Hi," Nuvain says dreamily. He seems to blink out of his reverie after a few moments of awkward silence. "Is something wrong?" he asks.

"Oh, nothing," Echo says. "I'm just suddenly feeling much more like I'm use to feeling," she admits with a shrug.

Nuvain seems to be puzzled by that, and takes several moments to contemplate it. "So...that's a bad thing then?" he asks slowly.

"Yes," Echo says. "No one likes to feel like some big joke all the time," she explains.

"But jokes are funny, and it's a gift to make people laugh, right?" Nuvain says, not really following too well.
