(OOC: Does anyone need an actual story or can we assume it was full of Yasir being awesome :D ... otherwise I may be doing a lot of typing >.< )

"The Caliphate* is a large place, no surprise I've never heard of that ship... though undoubtedly they had heard of me, It's a wonder you haven't heard of me before. No doubt you have, probably under a pseudonym." Says Yasir to Artanis

Yasir grins and stands as Mira arrives downstairs, standing and offering her his seat before taking one next to her.

"Just another tale of my bravery! They become rather tedious if you've lived them but I'm glad to entertain you all and inspire you to your own feats of greatness." Lies Yasir Courageously. "I'd heard whispers that there isn't much going on today, some book reading mostly, I thought maybe you and I, Artanis, could look into the fishy situation here. And anyone else that isn't already occupied."

Yasir will look for a glass of water and food, helping himself if there is anything at the table available or getting up and making his way to the bar if not.

cross loves the idea of sharing magic unlike most of his mage peers he didn't horde his spells jealously. he pulled his spell book out and handed it over to Mira. his hand lovingly held on the cover for a moment. the book a dark purple affair and had the image of gar etched into the cover. a small gem set in the center of the eye to resemble a pupil "here read all the spells you like. i do agree that something here is effecting us, but i know not what.i would like to take you up on your offer to help read the book and see what we may gleam"

Artanis Auir

"I need to stop in and see John about a weapon upgrade. Perhaps we can do that first then, whatever. Fishing is fine. I'm sure while we are fishing Yasir can entertain us with the story of his encounter with a red haired mermaid by the name of Ariel, off the coast of the Moonshae Isles." Artanis quips with a grin.

"I've a need to see John as well. He has a sword of mine that he is repairing... however he won't be finished until afternoon he said." Replies Yasir between bites. He keeps an appraising eye on his comrades while they eat, watching whomever is speaking at the time. Yasirs mind is fuzzy from his hangover and he gulps water gratefully as he eats. "... To be honest I could use a day of ease, yesterdays adventures have worn me down."

Mira accepts Cross's spell book with surprise, "Thank you. You are most generous." Reading the book she finds two spells, wall of fog that could come in useful, and invisibility. Taking her mind off the discussion she reads the words, unable to find a way to put the first spell to a tune. Invisibility just slipped into place..

Wall of fog Learn spell [1d100] = 78 fail
Invisibility url=http://unseenservant.com/default.asp?do ... 60&macid=0]Learn spell [1d100] = 23[/url] pass

"Cross, my notations are just that, I'll explain later, but the spell should be easy enough.." She explains rejoining the conversation, she listens to Yasir brag, kicking him rather obviously at the mention of the red haired mermaid. "I am going to read that book, with Cross and Merrick. Elsa, if we are going to this Skald we need supplies.. I would normally ask if you could."

"If you boys want to go fishing, go right ahead." She looks over to Yasir, taking his hand. "Have fun " giggling a little.
"The songbird is not the eagle and the eagle is not the songbird. Mira, you cannot be everything to everyone - if you do, you end up exhausted, slumped against a wall, in the room of someone you don't particularly like." - Artanis Auir

As the others join the party downstairs, the small table begins to get a little crowded. The server brings out more food and drink as well, including pastries, eggs folded to wrap greens, bacon and toasted bread. Mira borrows and studies Cross’ spellbook right there at breakfast, careful not to let any wayward food or drink reach it. She finds two spells she is interested in, and while the Wall of Fog seems a little too confusing for her right now, the spell used to make the Kender invisible last night is clear enough to her.

Why don’t we all head to John’s first, then split up from there? Elsa offers. Oh! the halfling exclaimed, as if just remembering something. We have to go back to the seamstress today as well. I can pick up my new dress and I’m sure you’ll need to be measured for your order… if you still want it, that is. She reminds Mira, giving the bard a conspiratorial grin as she cuts her eyes towards the warrior.

[OOC: Mira has understood the Invisibility spell, but she still must scribe it into her own spellbook at some point, unless she plans to memorize it straight from Cross’ spellbook. I’ll wait until she copies it to list it under her ‘spells known’ section of her character sheet. She can re-attempt Wall of Fog after she levels. Keep in mind the limit on spells known/level.

Normally Bardic notations include musical elements and aren’t exactly the same as wizard spell notations. This can make it more difficult for the wizard to copy a bard spell. However, in the interest of not bogging things down, we’ll assume if anyone wants to study one of Mira’s spells she will be there to help explain any special notations.]

Cal studies the book next, both spells making perfect sense to him. He prepares to copy them down, but finds there is no room left on the small table with the whole party and breakfast taking up space.

[Ooc: It will take a few minutes to copy each spell, and there isn't really enough room at the table to copy them at the moment. Also, I'm not sure everyone has their packs/eq with them.

What equipment does everyone want to take with them today?]

[Cal attempts to understand Burning hands (70-15% for non-illusion spell: need 55% or less) and Invisibility (70%+15% for Illusion spell: Need 85% or less)
Cal % to learn Burning Hands and Invisibility [1d100] = 9[1d100] = 35: Both pass!
Cal understands both spells]

Pyros will slurp the bottom of his 4th cup of coffee that has so much sugar in it the spoon stands up. He will grab one last piece of meat, then announce:

"Iwonderifhewasabletomakemeanysilverbullets.Imeanisn'tthatseemincredible.SILVERbullets.I'mmagonnagogetmyhoopak,andberightbackdown"

Pyros will take off like a bat out of the Demiplane of Dread, and grab his hoopak from the room, he will appear back with the group with it strapped to his back. The rest of his travelling gear will stay in the room.

Yasir helps himself to the food and eats a decent amount, his stomach is roiling from the nights drinking and appreciates a filling meal accompanied by a cool glass of water.

He nods to Elsa at her comment. "Aye, together. Perhaps John will have my weapon ready anyway, or I'll just return later."

Yasir pays little attention to the discussion of books and spells, most of it is above his head. As Mira finishes her reading he accepts her hand into his own and smiles back at her.

He attempts to decipher Pyros' words but the Kendar has jumped up and left before Yasir can make any headway. he nods at Pyros' return with his weapon attached to his back, the items curious design intriguing his curiosity.

(OOC: Yasir has very little gear on him now, clothing is all. Pants, shirt and sandals.)

(Mira has her clothes and will take a dagger and pouch)

"Of course, the shop!" Mira giggles, as the realisation dawns on her, "I can't wait." Gushing like a little girl she engages quietly with Yasir a moment. "Thank you again Cross. Its strange, you have actions in here and I have musical notes.."

"Right, you go to John's, Ill go to the seamstress with Elsa. Meet at the shop.. Say John might have fishing gear."

Artanis Auir

Artanis has been enjoying eating the breakfast as well as the entertainment at the table. He does find the banter between the mages and their spell books to be rather interesting and amusing. Listening to Pyros talk so quickly and then run off causes Artanis to quip: "How many pots of coffee DID he drink this morning?"

The ranger already has his gear with him, so he stands, squares away his portion of the breakfast tab and announces: "I'm off to make a purchase from John. Alas Mira, he does not carry any fishing gear, but he did mention some places that might. I shall investigate those while the ladies shop for dresses?" Artanis scratches his head at his last comment as he wonders what type of dress Mira actually needs for her profession. And he's off to John's.

[ooc: that looks like everyone except cross. What kind of gear does the Dagger Mage want to take with him today? Gar at least, right ;)
Do Cross and Cal have any plans? I suppose they could take this time to copy/trade spells in their rooms if they like.

For the record, unless specifically omitted I will always assume your chars are wearing clothes and carrying their coin when they're in public. Just to prevent lady Godiva/Emporer's New Clothes situations...]

Cal, Cross, Elsa, Mira, Pyros, Yasir: Wayfarer's Rest
Artanis makes his announcement and heads out ahead of the party as they finish breakfast and gather their things. Elsa waves and calls to him We'll catch up later. She checks her pouches and has her sling, spell components, some bandages and herbs. Well, I'm ready when you are Mira.

Artanis: The Loop
The Ranger, always ready to be on the move, makes his announcement and heads off to John's while the others are finishing up. As he steps outside he finds the mid-morning a little cooler than the day before, and quite windy besides. A whistling howl can be heard down the side streets as he travels down The Loop towards John's shop. The sound might have made someone else nervous, but the half-elf knew the wind's many voices well. There were few people about at this hour, likely due to the evening's festivities. Only a couple of shops were open, and no vending carts lined the street. Finally he makes his way to the smithy, but the barn-style double-doors out front are shut...
