Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)

Grateful for Merrick, Jerry gently squeezes his leg.

When the subject of a rumour of the things being hunted crops up, Jerry siezes on it, glad for the change of subject, "Would you tell us about the rumour?"

[TristenC]

Adrastia shrugs, Just that groups of those bloated creatures I hunt were seen far to the southeast in some kind of red-clay canyon. Not much to go on without anywhere specific to look really... she says, perturbed at the lack of detail.

[Nocturno]

"Bloated things, red clay... sounds interesting. Too bad I am tied up in this even more interesting mystery! Maybe we can somehow combine the mysteries together!"

"Yes this does seem like an odd place. Maybe we can all benefit each other!"

"Do you know of these bloated things she is seeking?"

[TristenC]

Ugly, evil "not-men"... dangerous... Fenrir ruffles and sorts his feathers, casting glances about nervously. Fly higher to safety.

Jerry lets this one go and just takes comfort from Merrick's closeness.

[Jenara]

"Ugly bloated things?"Mira asks in alarm, looking to Elsa for support as she wishes for a brief moment that Yasir were here, then she discounts it... he'd be drinking somewhere. "Learn what you can, we can take a look, maybe if we do it might help with our reputation. "Do you think you could find the way there?" She asks Adrastia curiously.

I don't have an exact location. There are many canyons in the foothills of the Blutespur, the mountains to the East. Red clay is not uncommon in the region. Without more to go on, I could wander for weeks before finding it... and this is not a land to go wandering in alone for long.

Finishing her food, Elsa pipes up, Shall we go?

[Jenara]

"Agreed." Mira responds placing her cutlery on the table. "We leave now. If you can find out any more on these creatures let me know." Grabbing her blade she stands and straps it to her waist. "Take weapons." She urges once more.

Merrick helps Jerry up, checking his components pouch and sling. Adrastia and Elsa both nod, ready to go. Artanis grins, carrying his equipment with him practically everywhere at all times, Glad to see you thinking with your head. he quips.

Jerry gives a small smile of appreciation to Merrick and gets ready to go.
She, too, checks her equipment in case she's been 'Pyrosed'.

[Jenara]

"So, you are coming with us?" Mira asks as Jerry as she quickly checks her coin purse, giving her a slight hug she whispers "Chin up." And turns back to Artanis. "About time right?" Refraining from sticking out her tongue she offers Elsa a hand.

[I think Jerry was planning to go with them, jen, so long as they went right after breakfast]

Jerry nods, "If we're going now, yes please."

[TristenC]

The party gathers up their gear and heads over to the Old Kartakann Inn. Again, the tumultuous roar of the waterfalls deafens all sound outside the inn even as it damps the air and swirls the ever-playing mist.

Passing through the cloak room, Elsa leads them through to the eating area. She gives a start as they find someone apparently waiting for them; Not Akriel, but the Elven man from Faerun they met on the road but a few days ago. Adran? The pretty blonde Halfling says, obviously surprised to find the militant mage here.

[Nocturno]

"Hey it's that guy from the road. Maybe we can get to know something about him now!"

"Ahh a stray flock member."
