"Thank you." Laurana says with a hushed tone. "I feel.. I made a mistake." She lowers her head while Goldmoon fixes her bandages.

"Groups seem a little lopsided," Eben comments. "So I better go with Gilthanas and Sir Stern to help balance things out a bit."

"My thanks," Gilthanas says, looking relieved. "I worried that the two of us alone wouldn't make it. All right, it seems like we all know our parts then? Elistan, I would suggest waiting at least 30 minutes before making your move. Hear that everyone? We have thirty minutes. If you're unable to complete your objectives before then, just head to the courtyard. Any longer, and the odds of us being discovered are too great."

Goldmoon casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Sturm, restoring 4 HP.

powered."

"Take the Bow Gilthanas, I won't need it down here." She says passing it to her Brother.

Gilthanas had been trained with a long bow, not a short bow. Nevertheless, he accepts the bow and arrows. "Better than nothing at all. My thanks," he says.

"Of course." She pauses, standing before him, "I want...." She looks away. "I did not mean to..."

"Just try to stay alive, alright?" Gilthanas says. "We can work out the rest later, if we survive."

"One more moment," Elistan says. "Many of you are still badly wounded. Forgive me, I am new at this, but I will do what I can." He starts with the kender, casting a healing spell upon him and mending some of his wounds. He then turns to Riverwind, the next grievously injured, and does the same for him.

"Praise Paladine. May the gods be with us," the cleric finishes.

"Yes, we can." She goes to give him a hug, a human custom, stopping herself she steps back awkwardly.

"Paladine is indeed with you, perhaps you could tell me what you have learn't?" She asks the Cleric as he helps her friends, moving stiffly.

Tika joins Raistlin and Caramon to go rescue Flint and Tanis. "We should probably get moving."

Goldmoon smiles at Elistan. "You are doing the Gods proud" she tells him.
Then she turns to Riverwind. "Which way do we need to go?"

"Thanks to you good cleric, I can feel your faith in the old gods."

As they get ready to depart, he answers Goldmoon, "With Raistlin. for Tanis and Flint."

(ooc: i assume we want to split the healers)

"Good luck to us all then," Gilthanas says. With that, the part splits up.

Elistan, Laurana, Magpie and Tas stay behind with the women and children, while the rest of the group head back toward the stairs, despite some of them being fairly wounded.

"Rest easy now," Elistan tells Laurana. "Do you two mind keeping an eye on her for me?" he asks Tas and Magpie. "Maritta, let's start with a full head count while we wait. We'll need to know just how many women and children we are to be organizing here." The woman nods and sets to it.

Meanwhile, once the party reach the top of the stairs, Gilthanas turns to the others. "All right, here's where we split up. Sturm, Eben and I shall head to the east tower. The rest of you will head south and follow Raistlin. May the gods be with us." He looks back to the room where the dragon is. Sobbing can be heard from that direction, but she has at least stopped screaming and flailing about.

Before they can split, though, a patrol of ten hobgoblins armed with chain mail, medium shields, and long swords turn the south corner and skid to a halt upon seeing them. "What is this? Who are you? Are you authorized to be here?" demands one, eying them suspiciously.

"What do you think you are doing?" Sturm shouts in an order. "The war is out there, not up here!" Brightblade in his hand he looks behind him quickly.
