"Oh my, this is better then performing in an inn. now people are throwing platinum pieces at me." He replies, taking the coins from Gregeddin, then turns to Kendra to reply. "I probably wouldn't go searching for some deep meaning. Seems to me they're pretty stupid."

"It could be the case that he is guarding this junction rather than the contents." Gregeddin motions to the three paths. "And maybe that East one leads to their precious Sekla"

Bear catches the whetstone and looks it over. "Aye, thanks. I can make good use of this." He sticks it in his quiver.
"So, east then?" he asks.
=========
Gregeddin gives Haahqae 6 platinum pieces and 4 steel pieces. He gives Bear a whetstone.

"Well, if we are going east, let's get moving," Kendra says, deciding to drop the subject of what the slig might have been guarding. He most likely was guarding the junction.

Darga remains silent while the others speculate on the purpose of guarding a broken-down piece of machinery. Instead, he goes over to the wreckage to take a closer look, examining not only the machine itself but peering upwards to see if there's anything interesting about where it once led. After doing so, he returns to his companions and mumbles his assent to the plan to investigate the eastern tunnel. Putting action to words, he carefully sets off down the tunnel, wary for whatever dangers might next threaten him and his friends.
(OOC: Darga is checking for traps as he goes, but his rolls of
75 for finding traps (20% chance) and
6 for detecting stonework traps (1--3 on 1d6) are probably not going to cut it.)

With a very wordy, but also quite uninformative agreement, Haahqae also makes his way down the tunnel.

91, Detect unsafe wall/ceiling/floor (1-7 on 1d10):

Darga looks up the lift shaft, but doesn't see anything special. As far as he can tell, the lift--when operational--just brings one up to the first level.
The two scouts carefully look over the eastern tunnel, and find no traps. The party presses on, until they come to another junction. One tunnel continues east, then seems to turn north. The other tunnel turns south, then later turns east again.

"Well no point in standing around, why don't I go check out this tunnel over here?" Haahqae proceeds along the passage to the south, checking for traps.

Haahqae carefully inspects the southern tunnel for traps, but finds none. The party slowly proceeds south, then turns east. The tunnel seems to slope downward, as Gregeddin suspected--to the third level.

"well I don't have to be a dwarf to know this tunnel is heading deeper. Let's find this Sekla. "

"Do we have any sort of plan when we face this Sekla?" Kendra asks as she follows after the group.

"I think the plan was to kill her." Chimes in the useful gnome.

"I think we'll need to go and find out what exactly is down there. If there are more pit traps or if we are severely outnumbered and need an army."
