Ouragana Stormbride (Merchant Ship, Lower deck/Sardonx 16th, 8:30 AM)
The marines seem puzzled by Ouragana's actions, but that doesn't stop them from surrounding, grabbing, and restraining her. They quickly go through her things, confiscating her dagger, her magic dagger, her Greek fire and her spellbook. "A mage?" one muses aloud at the discovery. "Bind her hands and gag her, she might cast a spell."
"No," says the young woman behind the desk. "Bind her, but don't gag her. I have questions," she says.
"My lady, some mages can cast spells even without their hands," warns one marine.
"If she starts to speak in magic, cut her throat," she tells them. One quickly places a blade to her throat as a precaution. Turning her attention to Ouragana, the woman says, "If you wish to keep living, speak. What are you doing here? What do you want?"
Baeros Axewielder (Merchant Ship, Upper deck/Sardonx 16th, 8:30 AM)
The two marines continue their desperate assault against the strange landlubber pirate who is trying to reach their captain. The second one manages to get in a good cut, weakening Baeros even further. But he will not be stopped. Using the flat of his blades, he manages to knock out both of them, one after the other.
Now only four marines are left between him and the captain, all standing guard around her. Whoops, make that three. An acidic arrow strikes one in the throat, killing him instantly. The three remaining marines ready their cutlasses for Baeros to approach. The captain herself pulls out a rifle.

Actions for Round 9?)
Val and Naras (Unnamed Island/Sardonx 24th, 5:00 PM)
Val stabs the monster again with her magical trident, slaying two more of its heads. The four remaining heads turn their attention solely to the half-orc, viewing her now as the biggest threat.
With the pressure off, Naras focuses a spell of healing on herself. But her hands are shaking from the blood loss and it isn't as effective as she had hoped.
The monster's four heads all bite at Val, drawing considerable blood. Soon the half-orc is practically on her last leg herself. She thrusts a second time, killing two more heads. But the beast is still alive, and with two heads left.
It seems that in all likelihood, this battle will be over soon. But who the victor will be is not yet certain.
