CH. 5: The Sending is Coming from Inside the House

[Breila]

Smelling the other women's meal, Ouragna's stomach starts to rumble. "Fish and water for me, too, please" she tells the waiter, handing him a silver piece.

[HorizonsDream]

"I don't think he even really knows me," Jocelyn says. "I can walk in there, act like a buyer, and move from there."

[Nuke]

"We did, but he also thought I wanted to lay with him, like I was his to bed. I did lead him on somewhat.... He is annoyed about that." She explains to Val quietly, "You three should go, he has no issue with you, I'll scope out the place from outside."

"That is my point, you can walk in aging, and lead him on a bit further, see where it goes. Just a thought."

Val drinks her ale. flagging the bar keep for another.

The waiter brings Ouragana the same dish as the others, plus a glass of water. He also refills Val's mug with ale.

"Have you ever rejected a man Val? One prides himself on his prowess with the women.." She gives the Half Orc with a sideways grin, "It's not going to happen Val."

"You go Jocelyn, as you say he doesn't know you, you are pretty enough to turn his head." Arei agrees, "But you are to have us backing you up." She says solemnly. "You can look after yourself, but... We are looking after you."

[Nuke]

"Men don't refuse me." Val states blankly. Adding as an after thought, "I don't ask."

[HorizonsDream]

Jocelyn looks at Val kind of blankly for a few moments before she shakes her head. "Huh," she says before turning her attention to Arelion. "Okay, so how should this work out if you are going to be my back up?" she asks.

[Breila]

"Watch the entrances to Hubert's house, I guess" Ouragana says. "What I thought I might do is pay a visit to Frisno the clockmaker. He might find the dagger/compass I found in the ruins interesting. And if I do that at the same time as Jocelyn is visiting Hubert, it would keep the two from meeting for the bad deeds we suspect them of."

[Nuke]

Val adds, "I will stay close, but not too close."

[Jenara]

"I will be just outside, waiting to see what happens, I don't suppose you have a spell to alert my attention do you?" She gives Val a grin, "You and me have to talk, quite an interesting subject. For now, can you go with Oura? She needs support also."

[Nuke]

"Yea, I go." Val looks somewhat confused as she answers.

[HorizonsDream]

"No, I don't have anything that can warn you if there is trouble," Jocelyn says. "But if we are going to do this, we should probably do it now."

With that decided, the foursome splits up. Jocelyn and Areilon head to the jeweler's shop while Ouragana and Val head to the clockmaker's shop.

The streets are beginning to clear out as people head home before night falls. Soon, the curfew will be in effect.

Ouragana enters Frisno's shop. "Good evening, Sir. When we went to that island with the Cohen, I found an interesting item, I thought you might be able to tell me something about it" she says as she takes the compass dagger our of her sash.

Val enters the shop and looks around carefully. She looks curiously at the detailed clocks without touching, wondering why folk have such fascination with a few moments of time.
