Shima nods, catches the coin, and then bites it before making it disappear.
He says, "That'll do for tomorrow night. I've paid for here tonight. Unless you want to pay me the money for this room?"

Haahqae will quietly test each of the doors to see if its locked. If possible without moving it enough to inform anyone who might be on the other side of what he's doing.

Moving back to the group, carefully avoiding the trap, Careful of the trap, Hahhque. I don't hear anything here, but I'm not that good at this sort of thing. What do guys think? Should we start at where we came in so we don't leave anything uncertain at our backs?

"I think so," Kendra says as she stands up. "But just in case I did, I wanted a little back up." She motions for Perp to follow her as she takes the lead into the brush.

"One door is as good as another," Arulia murmurs. "Unless we get lucky, we might have to search them all to find your friend. We may as well start with the first one."

Haahqae, Arulia, Gobax, Felran and Ne-Chanz (Deserted Building)
Carefully avoiding the trap Gobax claims is in the hall, Haahqae checks each and every door. Only one of them appears to be locked--the northern door.
"Maybe we can split up," Pen suggests. Four doors and ten of us...so two people to each door, plus two to stay here in case they are needed as backup."
Kendra Greylock (Haven's Vale)
"Sure, Kendra. Errr, I mean, Greylock," Perp quickly corrects himself. He follows her around the brush. Once he is out of sight of the others, Sadron slips in behind him and strikes him with the flat of both of his blades. Amazingly, this does not knock the draconian out. Instead, he whirls around, rubbing the back of his head. "Hey, what--!"
The blonde elf quickly chants a spell of slumber, but it has no effect on the draconian. Perp looks around, confused. "Elves? Look out, Kendra!"
Getting frustrated with their efforts, the brunette comes out of hiding, holding a wand. She blasts him with two magic missiles and he grunts and falls to the ground, unmoving. He does not turn to stone, though. "Damn things are tougher than they look," she mutters.
"Hey, what's the ruckus?" calls out Krup, having heard Perp shout.
"We better do this now, before he has a chance to wake up and before they get suspicious," Sadron warns. "We'll follow your lead, Kendra."
======
Sadron swings the flat (-4 hit) of his primary long sword at Perp from behind (+2) with elven grace (+1 hit) [TN 12] (1d20-1): 16-1 = 15, hit for (1d8): 1 damage. He then swings the flat (-4 hit) of his secondary long sword at Perk from behind (+2 hit) with elven grace (+1 hit) [TN 12] (1d20-1): 13-1 = 12, hit for (1d8): 5 damage. Perp takes 3 real damage and 3 temporary damage; he remains conscious.
Blonde Elf casts Sleep on Perp. Perp resists magic [TN 20%] (1d100): 13, pass. He resists.
Brunette Elf blasts Perp with two magic missiles from a wand. Perp resists magic [TN 20%] (1d100): 82, fail. He takes (2d4+2): 5+2 = 7 damage. Perp falls.
Tulbas Erogund (Cultist Lair, Barracks)
Tulbas searches the entire room again. There are no desks, drawers, closets or windows. In fact, Tulbas hasn't seen any windows at all in any room he's been in so far, which gives him the impression they might be underground. There are the beds and the chests next to each one, so he searches them. None of the other chests are locked. They contain clothes, boots, and other mundane personal effects. Surprisingly, none of the cultists thought to leave behind a key to the room where they locked Tulbas up for him to find.
Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn)
"I'm not paying you anything until you bring me back some useful intel," Raena says, crossing her arms. "I'm not running a charity here." She walks to the door. "Oh, and that silver will come out of your share of the treasure. And if you try and double-cross me in any way...you won't live long enough to regret it. Understand?" With that, she leaves his room.

I don't think splitting the party is a good idea... Should we try the locked door first? There haven't been any others so far... maybe we'll find something useful. I'm for either that or the first door as Arulia says...

Seeing he has no easy way out of the room Tulbas decides to study all his spells before trying to force his way out of the room.
============================================
(OOC: Tulbas will study Sleep and the cantrips)
(OOC: I always keep spare keys in my house... For all he knows the others could have rush out on an important task and forget theirs as Tulbas was almost assumed dead.)

"Nothing!" Kendra calls out to Krup. "I just almost tripped," she assures their leader. She then looks to Sadron. "I'll get the other two back to the camp. Once we are all together, then come out and attack," she explains. With that, she runs off towards the north where Silm and Grev suppose to be. "Hey, we are needed back at the camp," she says.

Arulia shakes her head impatiently. "I do not care, as long as we do something. The longer we wait here, the more likely that something will come out of one of those doors and make the choice for us. I would rather meet them on our own terms." She looks over to the goblin, then adds, "No, we shouldn't split up. We would not survive another fight like the last one if we were not all together. I say we all take the first door."

Then let's do it. He says, glad to hear the authority in Arulia's tone. Ismeme, would you mind peeking as before? he asks, joining the rest of the party there.

Haahqae, Arulia, Gobax, Felran and Ne-Chanz (Deserted Building)
Ismene complies. The party discovers that the nearest door, the western one, opens up into a storage room. It contains a number of barrels and sacks, a few crates and an old, green rug that is rolled up. There's an old vase, a bear skin rug, a wooden dresser and a pile of rags. There is also a chest in the back that has been smashed open. Steel coins spill out of it.
"Now this is more like it!" Yvette exclaims, going to investigate the chest.
"About time," Xyleena mutters, joining her to go through its contents.
Kendra Greylock (Haven's Vale)
"What for?" asks Slinn. "Did the elf finally talk?" They start to follow after her.
When they reach the center of the camp, Kendra can see the elf prisoner is in bad shape. "Gonna get me one of them ears," Tern taunts as he cuts into the elf.
"Greylock, what are you doing?" demands Krup. "And what are you two doing here?"
Grev and Slinn look confused. "Greylock said you ordered us back." They all turn their attention to her.
Tulbas Erogund (Cultist Lair, Barracks)
Tulbas studies his spellbook.
===========
Tulbas is studying Sleep. He will memorize it in 9 rounds.

Looks like this venture was woth your time after all, eh? I wonder if there are supplies we can use... He checks around for traps first, then looks to see if there is anything useful in the crates or dressers (in a timely fashion) like lamp oil. Perhaps we should clear the dangers here before we start dividing things up...
[Ooc: how may coins/lb for you, Jaded? Does it look like there is enough to split amongst the party without weighing us down or taking forever to divide?]

Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn)
Shima thinks ~You may regret those last three sentences.~ And goes off to look for Gregeddin or Haahqae in the Steel Tankard, asking directions as required.

"Sorry, guys," Kendra says as she pulls out her swords. Without saying much, she attacks Krup.
