*Shrugs* Perhaps it was a house rule I used to use, obviously wasnt just me, still Brax's System shock is 95% lol

I knew this was coming...
In what concerns combat, the module is a little overpowered on the monster's side, they have 25% more hit points than the party. So I decided to tweak things a bit to make it survivable. For example, I let the critical fumble of the first paw attack mean the second one doesn't hit. I didn't use the bite attack because I read (perhaps misread) that this attack only applies when both paw attacks were successful.
This would have been the case for the attack on Brax, of course. But the bite hits at +4 and does 2-12 damage. (The maximum hit points a sea cat can deliver in a single round is 24, more than any of you had at the start.) And I don't like it that PCs get killed when they haven't made a big mistake. So I decided to leave that attack to the next round, with a chance to free Brax first, or at least to give the PCs a chance to drag her to shore afterwards and apply the "hovering at death's door" rule.
For the "system shock" rule, Jen and Jaded are both right. It is a house rule Jen used in this adventure before. Like Jaded states, the book says "50 hit points". I guess Jen or the master she learned it from read it at "50% hit points" at some point, and to me that makes sense so I keep it. you should be grateful for that, because it means the Sea Hag is dead (it failed its saving throw) and did not just retreat do her lair

That's what I was trying to tell you earlier, Breila. Monsters in 3E are much more powerful than their 2E counterparts, because PCs in 3E are much more powerful than their 2E counterparts. Monsters in 3E have much more HP because PCs in 3E can do much more damage than the average 2E character. And vice versa.
As for the rest of it...I don't even...ugh, I'll just wait until after this battle to address it all. There's no point in me doing so now.

The cook's name is 'Candida'?
Is that a coincidence, or is it an intentional pun? Because candida is also a genus of yeast, one which can cause some irritating and unpleasant medical conditions in humans.

More or less intentional. I was thinking of her being candid, but candida albicans had hidden in the back of my mind, probably laughing like mad.

And
that's why I thought she was a baker. Candida is another one of those words that has two meanings...like Murder.

Amon didn't heal Brax (he cannot), he just stopped the bleeding. She should still be unconscious.

So as it's probably obvious now, I just thought I'd say, Horizon and I are stepping down from this game. Well, really, Horizon left some time ago, and I've just been covering for her. But now it's all official. The reasons should be fairly obvious, from all the complaining I've been doing since...well, since the beginning, really. Neither of us have been having fun for some time; this style of game just isn't our cup of tea.
So, good luck to the rest of you. We both wish you all well.

Shame. Frankly.

So Jaded and Horizon have left the game.
I have noticed that the posting has become a bit slower, I often have to use the NPCs to move it forward. So I'm asking myself, are you still having fun and are just too busy at the moment (I know that Stik, Luna and Jenara are very busy now)?
Or is there something I could do better?
