Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
"Well, if we've finished up here we could have a better look around the ground floor. I'll see if i can remove some of the Silencing magic," suggests GG.

@Nocturno: We are currently at the top of the house, correct? i.e. no attic or such still to search/examine

Flat roof suggests no attic.
I'll do a search for the time I stated, but it is should be getting close to 11pm, and the group has had 2 vigorous encounters in the day.
The characters are going to be getting pretty tired.

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Tornak suggests they secure the building and report back to try and get a watch put on the building by their employer to allow the group to rest, recuperate and plan for their next move.
Turning to the new dwarf he admits "Probably not the course of action you are hoping for, but we do have a job to do. Like I said earlier, I am fairly certain this doesn't end here though. Convince the boss of why you should be part of this investigation and perhaps you could earn some coin for hunting down what your already hunting. "

Well I can't find it, so I am going to say it is 11pm. I was certain I posted you were at the ferry at 11, which was an hour before the next one would head out. But I can't see the time there.
This should allot 30 minutes for getting into the warehouse, exploring, and the combat.
So 11 pm, and you have magical items, and your bodies are feeling the hour of the day.
=============================
Feel free to explore the building. Will you have detect magic on while heading downstairs?
What does everyone plan on doing?

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
GG, not being particularly socailly adept, nods at the solid dwarf and leaves conversation and such niceties to the others.
Unless stopped he takes the rapier and heads downstairs.
When he detects the edge of the silencing spell GG will try a Dispel Magic to end the silence (focused within the silenced area but to exclude any of the party and potentially their ongoing spells).
======
GG already had a Detect Magic going (which has a duration of 10 minutes).

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Leaving the others behind, GG notices different fields of overlapping magic on the main floor.
Each aura is the same school. Illusion and Enchantment
They are all about the same strength. So what makes you notice the difference is the overlapping spots seem extra strong.
The areas are approximate. Imagine the auras are round, with the correct radius for a normal silence spell.

Adrik will continue insisting that the party head back to the mansion to rest for the night.
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
GG drops his Dispel Magic into the three-way overlap.
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Ability check using your spell casting ability x3 please.
So Int check x3, one for each aura please.
=================================
Anyone on the first floor, or heading to the first floor sees GG start casting a spell targeting something. To most it looks like thin air.

Broggdar will follow the troop back to the first floor. Staying away from the caster throwing spells at midair.
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Flatbelly will agree with reporting back at the mansion, especially the tunnel to the underground, but will also mention that they have been noticed and when they do come back, the enemy will double their guards.
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Under your detecting gaze, the auras snap out of existence.
The others carefully work their way around the Martial Wizard as they file towards the front door.

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Noting the return of people's footsteps GG says, "Got rid of the Silence!" and dashes around the room to detect for any other magic (not carried by the party).
======
I think that after dashing in a loop round the room to eyeball the southern corners GG ends up about ten foot south of the door.
