"You feel it too...? I'm glad I'm not the only one." Hooking an arm with the lovely cleric she walks to the house whistling a happy tune.

Oh! Elsa exclaims abruptly. I just remembered a great song from home! It's for spearmen, but it's great for a march 'cause it's pretty up-beat. You wanna hear it?

[Jenara]

"Please!! See I KNEW you were tallented!" She announces and waits to hear the song.

Ok, so... it's a military song. I might jave to change a word or two, she says with a wink. Here goes...

The cleric takes a deep breath and begins in a clear voice. The tune is very simple and repetitive, perfect for large groups of people concentrating on something else (like marching or watching for the enemy).

The song is typically performed as a marching chant with little or no music (aside from portable percussion or march-stamping). [I might pen the simplistic melody out one day.]

Footnotes:

“Tallfellow Thorn” is a nickname for the spears they use. Tallfellows are very skilled with these spears, favoring the “Porcupine” battle formation that lets them stand toe-to-toe with much larger opponents; even when afoot or facing cavalry.

Arvoreen is the male Halfling god of stern defense and watchful diligence. More serious than a typical Halfling, he serves as a reminder that safety was hard-won and is easily lost. He is often depicted as a handsome young Halfling warrior of muscular build; generally lightly clothed, bearing a short sword and often a gleaming metal shield.

Mira claps rather excitedy at the song, and adds an extra clap for the 'smack' sounds.

"I never saw you as the military type. You do it well." She smiles.

Elsa giggles, I'm not, but there was this boy in our village millitia when i was younger... He was older and i was just a kid but he humored me when i kept trying to hang around him... he was really sweet.

The pair come to the farmhouse without incident.

"Oh that's a cute story. I could just imagine a younger you being all silly around an older boy." Nudging her softly she places an arm on her shoulder. "I appreciate you not letting me be alone, after Yasir I'm a little Fragile, I don't show it but its affecting me, a lot. I miss him. And... I think I need to remember to consider my actions." Squeezing her softly she pulls the Halfing in for a hug.."Be my voice of reason?" She asks softly , whispering something else before releasing her and moving to the house.

"Coming?" She asks, taking Elsa's hand and walking to the door.

Elsa whispers back, though she isn't certain why they are speaking quietly. To the Bard's other concern she smiles, Of course! We said we would look out for each other didn't we besides you've been giving me all this great advice about Pyros.

[Jenara]

"Advice in respect of Kender is a tenuous subject." She giggles and leads the Halfing towards the doorway.

Elsa giggles again as they approa h the farmhouse. The cleric knocks on the door and calls out inside, something about selling brooms?

I should have done this at her level-up, but I forgot cuz I sux.

I forgot, (man, I’m off today or something) in the syntax above that the modifiers are totaled and if the end result is positive it is ignored. She still passed, as the bare die roll was 10.

Mira’s Bardic Reputation Index increases to 7! (Based in Harmonia)
In the next town over, her reputation checks are effectively -2, so her Index in Skald would effectively be 5.

Mira notices that the woman's garb is reminiscent of Vistani clothing, though much somber hues. She wears a tan sash around her waist (rather than red, not in the picture) and a couple of other trinkets that suggest this; including a horesehair bracelet which she has never seen the like of, but looks to be very old and symbolic.

Mira also realizes that while the woman is looking over the entire geoup, she sems to be focusing more on Mira, and to a lesser extent on Artanis.
