Jenara, don't tone her down just like that! It will be so much more interesting to play out what could become of the interaction of these so very different women. (But it's good that we've known each other on this site for a while, makes it easier to tell apart Jenara and Carith.)

Well, Carith is trying to upset Hedra, but Jenara is not upsetting Breila!

Oh well, time to clarify!

Yeah, don't be surprised if Bill gets to be a little frustrating. Just like in real life, language barriers can suck. I really like the idea that his homeland language has been sort of bastardized into the mercenary tongue, and its cool that Carith knows it. I don't forsee myself using that too often, as Bill wants to get better at the common tongue, even if he thinks it sucks.
Let me know what you guys think of him.
Also, IL, are you going to get Marcus in?

I kinda took a 'flyer' on the merc language! Thanks for going with it IL!
I felt that Bill needed someone to talk to!
As for Carith.. Well..

Marcus is part of the caravan. He can jump in anytime he likes! (Sorry if I didn't let you know, Marcus)

Nice chatter, Dee is listening and trying to judge the group in character. Not sure if that counts as a check for something...

I will honor your secret language of thieves, Ismael, but I was tempted to pretend I could understand Slade's hand signs. After all, shouldn't Gus know a drink in any language?

Ok, seriously Jenara, I have to address your recent post in which you overheard what one character whispered to another while you were doing something else. Unless your character is a thief with a Detect Noise gimmick, it is totally out of line to just ignore the other characters' intentions and assume success, especially when your character is passive and mine has the intent of not having you hear (assumedly across the camp), and when your character has the lowest perception in the party.
I may be speaking out of turn, and if the gamemaster wants us to take initiative and decide the outcomes of events and whether our characters are successful or not, including when dealing with the other characters, I will try to adapt. I know that the story tends to move slowly and can't wait for an objective outcome in every encounter, and it would be fun to describe a portion of our own fights, for example. I have just seen too many situations where one player starts writing that their character one-ups the other characters, and I wanted to address this while the stakes are low (I don't really care if my character was heard) so everyone knows what the boundaries are.

Sorry i missed that it was whispered. I will go as far as to edit my actions to change that..
Sorry, i made a mistake, and I'll leave the rest for IL to deal with.

It is a forum board. Some things are missed, misread, and simple mistakes. Edit is in place, it is all good.

@Talyn:
Are you playing Karen as a second PC for the whole adventure or will she "fade" into the NPC group eventually?
Real question: Are we others to treat her like a PC or like a NPC?
