Echo watches Brax and Searos speak with the drunk, a small look of amusement upon her face. Standing, she moves closer to the group speaking to Jackel, joining Gunter at his table. "So he hasn't exactly seen the treasure, if there is one to begin with," she says softly, mostly to herself. "Though, why would a little girl be haunting the place?"

(ooc: Searos just has a problem with priests and sun gods.)
"And you never saw the treasure yourself did you? How much of the house did you explore?"

"Wa did I say? I went in the Garden, the Kitchen, checked the basement and damn near soiled myself, damn Ghosts chasing me!" he grumbles and stammers. "You young uns need to listen, and before you start asking me about the Girl, check your history, go to the Town Hall, check the stories, the history. You ask Master Soulstaff!"
He says, slipping into his drink once more.

Gunter smiles to himself as he thinks on Seaors' words regarding 'the hunt'. Once the conversation begins, he cranes his neck towards the adjacent table andistens intently, making mental notes of the locations the Jackal mentions. He doesnt even hear Echo approach until she speaks softly, startling him.
"Aye, I'd probably be sick of this tale by now if I were you too. Still, there might actually be a shred of the truth in his words. Have you ever known any one besides him that has gone inside?"

"As far as I know, he is the only one that has tried," Echo comments to Gunter. "Amon and I were quickly punished for even going near the house when we were younger, so even we haven't tried," she admits with a small shrug.
Upon hearing Jackel mention her father, her eyes narrow. "What does my father know about it?" Echo asks, speaking up so that Jackel actually hears her.

Searos looks over his shoulder with the same look of earlier annoyance, this time for Echo. He just waves his hand as if inviting her question to the conversation.
"Well, how about it? What would MASTER Soulstaff know about it?"
He then turns to Brax, briefly forgetting who he is talking to: "Nobody ever calls me master anything. Well, there was that temple guard who called me a master pain in the" He suddenly realizes who he's talking to and turns back to the Jackel. "The question!"

The other patrons have gone strangely quiet, Tel watches with interest as Echo speaks.
"He got all those books, aint he? Stands to reason he'd hold some History too..." Jackel responds slyly.
Brax just regards Searos with a confused stare.

Searos leans back in his chair so that he's looking at Echo upside-down.
"There you go Master Daughter. Clearly the Jackel here wouldn't be holding back any details."
Searos then manages to spin the chair around so that he regards the Jackel from the same perspective.
"Because obviously, were he to omit any details what might prove useful to a daring band of youths and (he casts a glance to Kim and Brax) others of less discernible temporal qualities, he might find that whatever favor he had curried had dried up and might be met instead with a powerful form of disfavor."
He grins broadly. "Afterall, its generally a bad idea to curry the disfavor of a trio of w-w-wizards (he rolls his tongue around in his mouth as if tasting something awful), not to mention a cleric of an alleged sun god. You feel me?"

Gunter senses the jig and leans in, flexing his considerable arms, making his studded leather creak slightly.
He grins and winks at the Jackal.

"Books in which I have had access to for years. I don't remember those books mentioning a little girl haunting that house," Echo points out to Jackel. "Withholding information is not in your best interest."

Kim remains at their table, sipping wine, not displaying more interest in the "conversation" than anyone else in the room, seemingly lost in thought.
After Echo leaves, Kim turns to Amon and asks: "Tell me, did you find out for yourself I am a mage, or did your master tell you?
You see, I am not as experienced as my age may suggest. I was oathbound to serve my family until quite recently and could begin my own studies just a few years ago.
And in case you are wondering why I tell you this: I believe that if we enter this mansion, our survival will depend on how much we know about our strangths and weaknesses. I guess I will get truthful answers from you and Brax, Vee here might be a little overconfident as well as Echo, Gunter is probably our basic fighter and Searos will tell you just about anything."

Vee listen to the conversation with Jackel and get all her atention on it, than she regognice Amon's mark to her age. "I'm not so young. And I can verry good take care of myself! AND" she turns to Kim "I'm not overconfident. I only know what I can do!"
Vee stands up and goes next to Brax, because she can't understand all of the conversatinon, and this is verry interesting.
while going she mutters to herself: "Why does evrybody think I'm little, young and week? I'm an adult, as they are!"

Amon nods to Kim. "Yes, Master Daos does not take notice of those without some magical skill. He seemed to see potential in you, in fact. So you are still an apprentice then, like Echo and myself? She and I are both skilled with the simpler spells. I focus more on protective wards and such, from the school of Abjuration. Echo prefers more dangerous spells, the kind that burn, shock, or cause to bleed."
He holds his hands up defensively to Vee. "I apologize, I meant no offense, Miss Vee. I'm certain you're quite skilled," he adds with a smile.

(Ooc: work and poor internet has caused me problems.
Echo does know of lots of books that were taken to the Church, perhaps Ara has them.? )
Brax sits back listening to the group, undead that was her area of expertise.. "My dear Vee many think i am too young, having lasted 18 Winters.. Do not worry." she gives the girl a reassuring grin.

"So, what do we have to work with? Two fighters, a jack-of-all-trades, three mages with skills in defense and attack - I am not specialized in anything - and a cleric of Palor who has healing powers.
Does any of us know how to deal with undead? I only know folk tales of vampires from my homeland, nothing I would want to rely on."
