"I think Targin forgot how to listen!" Galenye says with a sigh. Once again, she stays out of the fighting.

"I only hope they don't have any of these exploding things left!" Jinali says, watching the fight. "Very loud and, I think, dangerus too."

Galenye remains out in the open, exposed. But luckily, the gnomes pay her no mind, instead focusing on the more immediate threats around them.

Karathos approaches one of the pistol carrying gnomes and attempts to grab him, but the little bugger drops into a roll, evading the minotaur entirely. The gnome and his companion both open fire then, their bullets grazing Karathos' arms and denting his chain mail armor. These weapons, while small and unassuming, packed a hell of a punch.

The gnome who had struck him as he passed turns and follows the minotaur. He strikes from behind, but luckily Karathos' chain mail protects him from the blow.

Erastin engages another gnome, but hesitates. He sees an opening, but he does not want to kill his opponent. He strikes with the flat of his blade, but the gnome parries with his pick.

The gnome counterattacks, slamming the point of his pick into Erastin's side, into a small gap in his armor. The weapon sinks into his flesh, severely wounding the would-be knight and nearly causing his knees to buckle. A second gnome approaches and attacks, but misses.

Targin targets that particular gnome and fires, but his arrow goes over the gnome's head.

The gnome who had accidentally blinded himself with his own flash grenade finds he can start to see again.

All of the noise the gnomes are making with their guns and bombs manages to attract some attention. A pair of ogres, a male and a female, begin to approach from the east. Having heard all of that noise, they are coming to investigate.

Deciding that they have no chance to do battle without killing, Karathos draws bonebiter and heartcleaver and attacks No. 1 with bonebiter and No. 5 with heartcleaver.

INIT 8, Bonebiter would hit AC 10, heartcleaver would hit AC 7
damage rolls: 17 for bonebiter, 17 for heartcleaver

Jinali remains in full defence, cause she can't think about something useful she could do... except staying out of way and be ready to form a shield if it would be necessary...

Upon seeing the ogres coming, the gnomes have apparently decided they've had enough. The two pistol carriers slip around Karathos, going to grab their unconscious ally.

Erastin swings his blade at one of the gnomes, chopping off some of his whiskers, but doing no harm. The other gnome attacks, but his pick is thwarted by Erastin's plate mail. Suddenly, there's another bang followed by a flash of light. Both Erastin and his opponent are struck blind by the flash grenade. The blind gnome swings wildly, missing Erastin completely, before withdrawing.

Galenye goes to stand near Jinali, who is also standing out in the open, so it does little difference. Only Selowen takes cover behind the knight initiate's horse. Luckily, the gnomes leave the girls alone.

Karathos swings his twin axes, but the little gnomes duck and weave about, avoiding them. Seeing an opening in the minotaur's defenses, one gnome swings his pick right into Karathos' gut, piercing the armor's chains. For a moment, things dim around Karathos, but he holds on to consciousness and tries his best to ignore the pain.

Targin fires another arrow, but drops his bow in his haste. Frustrated, he instead just runs forward toward Erastin, fists at the ready.

It was then the two ogres arrived on the scene. A male and female, neither was armed. But that somehow didn't inspire any confidence. The nine foot tall humanoids were still big enough to crush any opponent, they were even bigger than Karathos. Both wore rather sinister grins at the sight of the battle. They had been so bored, but now had found some fun. Today was a good day.

----The grenade lands (1d10): 4, to the left and in front of target by (1d6): 5 feet.
--------Erastin saves vs. spell (1d20): 3, fail. Erastin is blinded.
--------Gnome 02 saves vs. spell (1d20): 4, fail. Gnome 02 is blinded.

Gnome 02 attacks Erastin with his gnome pick (1d20-4): 14, miss. He begins to withdraw from battle.
Gnome 05 goes to help Gnome 04.
Gnome 01 attacks Karathos with his gnome pick (1d20): 18, hit for (1d6+1): 5 damage. Gnome 01 begins to withdraw.
Targin fires a sheaf arrow +1 from his short bow at Gnome 03 (1d20): 3, critical fumble! Targin drops his bow. He charges forward.
Ogre Male arrives
Ogre Female arrives.

(OOC: Breila, I didn't realize, but as a minotaur, Karathos is size category L. So I retconned the damage he took previously with a gnome axe, so he has a little more HP than he would have otherwise. So for now on, he'll depicted on a map as KK instead of just K, to reflect his size.

Karathos joins Erastin and Targin. "Any ideas what we can do?" he asks, bleeding and in pain. When the ogres move in and attack, he will head-butt them.

(OOC: OK, if you get a few good rolls, we are done for)

Galenye clutches her sword upon seeing the ogres. She isn't in any condition to be fighting. "Don't you two mages have some spells to help out here?" she asks.

Selowen peeks out from behind Gallen. "I don't know if my slumber spell would even work on ogres!" she admits. "I can try...but if the guys get too close, they might get caught in it!"
