Here the bard is messing about trying to bend bars when he has knock memorises...

Random outburst of rage, dragon army comes rolling in messing up his hometown all over again. Raises taxes, ships people off to slave camps, soldiers are ducks at the checkpoints. Prefect doesn't care for plight of citizens. Hypnotising doesn't work, bard feels powerless and being taken to a dungeon. Might as well take a few verbal swipes at this figurehead for it all. It's the first chance greenfinch has had to try and get one back for Haven.

As for a plan, there is no plan so far. Hypnotising the prefect was an emotional decision that didn't come with any foresight. Not quite haahqae level of wisdom but 8 is below the average man's.

So... You just tried to hypnotize him because Greg was flipping?

Roger that.

@Jaded:
The game ends when either all of us die or we reach the end of the story.

In this case, would the end be when the Heroes get into Haven and stuff goes down.

Also, is there any bonus to dropping onto someone from say, ten feet in the air, with a greatsword? :)

Umm yeah. The element of surprise.

How about the element of physics.

A knife brought down on a bar of soap will go -right- through it.

The Heroes of the Lance never go to Haven in the books. It's part of the reason I chose it for the center of this campaign.

According to the DMG, diving is the same as charging. So you'd get a +2 to hit and certain weapons, like lances, do double damage if they hit.

It says that they do on the Nexus, but only for a short time.

I have no memory of that at all. When in the timeline is that supposed to happen?

Something after Pax. Can't remember how far in.

I went over the timeline again, to be sure, and can find no reference to them going to Haven. As far as I know, the Heroes of the Lance never visit Haven. At least not during the war, at any rate.

While looking over the map to see if there was any good spots to perform, I noticed that there's a not of Swan's Musicians, however it's completely unexplained who/what this is. Is this some guy named Swan who hired some musicians to perform on a regular basis? Is it an opera company? Does it still operate after the occupation began?

It's a musician shop. They sell instruments, sheet music, and that sort of thing. I imagine that like most shops, they probably took a big hit after the occupation began.

Here's an interesting question. If someone wearing a Ring of Regeneration has the hand with said ring cut off, what happens?

Does the hand fly to the body? Does a clone grow from the hand? Or, is the power lost?

The person in question would lose a hand and the ring and wouldn't be able to regenerate any more. If they took the ring off their severed hand, though, and placed it on their good hand, then eventually their old hand would regrow.

The severed hand, however, is dead and the ring would have no effect on it.

So, the occupation has reduced the amount of trade considerably, I imagine this means that the grand market, on average, is pretty empty and mostly unused? However it still has a stage and plenty of open space?

Edit: also, what day of the week is it?
Edit2: found it, it's "World Tree" = Saturday

Yeah, I'd say so. It can hold a lot of people, too.
