[There is a lot of melee going on right now, but remember: if a character wants to move away from melee without provoking an opportunity attack they can use the Withdraw maneuver. Basically it means they can move backwards at 1/3 their speed, avoid opportunity attacks, and still get melee attacks on anything in range. The only problem is that the opponent can easily follow them unless prevented]

Bullock throws a handful of colored sand at the pair of goblins before him, and the two drop like stones as they black out. Drawing his swords he steps backwards so the wall is on one side of him. Goblins begin pouring out of the various paths around him to quickly begin to surround him.

Back with the rest of the party, Fin swings his club at his foe but hits only air. Linar circles around his opponent and flings a handful of sand at the four in front of him. The first two drop unconscious to the floor, freeing the Drow and Svirfneiblin from melee.

Again the Worg bites, viciously tearing another chunk of flesh from the Felis ranger, who swats ineffectually back with her sword. The goblin beside likewise scores a hit on young Dran, and the wolf is unable to catch the green-skinned humanoid with his own fangs.

Nocturno also fails to connect with the larger wolf. Even so, his heavy armor and the torchlight protect him from the two goblins behind as their weapons and blurred vision prevent significant contact.

He curses all of the gods, good and bad.

Yet again the vicious Worg clamps down on the ranger, tearing another wound in her side. Fin evokes a holy rite and lays a hand on the dodging Felis. Healing magic washes over her, restoring not only her new injury but closing up other cuts as well. Jordek likewise attempts to heal Katten, but cannot manage to make contact with the agile ally in the dark. Katten slashes with a feral growl, catching the Worg on the side of the face with just the tip of her sword, slicing a thin bloody line across its cheek.

Farther into the cave Bullock draws his swords and slashes furiously at the goblins around him, cutting down two with ease and biting a third one nearly in two! More goblins come barreling out of the cavern towards him, replacing some of their number. The green skinned humanoids bash and stab at him with their crude tools, one nearly catching him with a well placed strike were it not for his buckler.

The Drow draws forth his blades and slashes deeply into one of the unconscious goblin's backs. His second blade sinks in nearly to the hilt and the creature hardly twitches before lying forever still. Dran snarls and snaps at his own foe, though neither manage to get the upper hand enough to connect. Nocturno slashes at the Worg again, resulting only in a string of curses.

OOC- Finally getting some Dice Roller Love.

Muttering, then slowly growing louder Nocturno will stir his rage of inaccurate swings, and the sight of his allies being damaged, into a tangible anger.

He will buff himself with Incite Berserker Rage.

The Worg lunges at the ranger again, but the nimble felis dodges easily this time. Again she slahes the large canine across the face with her sword and bringing her axe to bear as well. Beside her the goblin manages to sink its spear into Dran's hide, eliciting a sharp yelp from the adolescent wolf. With a ferocious snarl her animal companion lunges at his assailant, catching the small humanoid's throat in his jaws and shaking it furiously! The snap of bones can be heard as it twitches feebly, ultimately falling still.

Behind the front lines, Findalsip picks his way over to the next unconscious goblin. He takes careful aim with his club and with one well-aimed strike he caves its head in. Jordek tries again to make contact with Katten to heal her, but the fierce melee prevents him from finding her in the dark.

Deeper into the cave, Bullock rolls on with his savage flurry of attacks downing three more goblins with terrifying efficiency; though the last manages a parting shot with his spear immediately before he is crushed to death by the Minotaur's gnashing teeth!

Abruptly a series of beastly howls can be heard, unsettlingly close by. A stream of Worgs and their goblin riders come barreling into view with snarling savagery! Two peel off to engage the Minotaur, heedless of the half-dozen goblin bodies scattered about. The mounted Worg catches the fighter-mage somewhat off-guard and tears a substantial wound into his side! The second worg begins to circle around towards his flank, growling menacingly. The last conscious goblin nearby seems bolstered by the reinforcement. His mace slips neatly beneath the much larger humanoid's guard and strikes a hard blow against his leg! Bullock's stance wavers slightly with the blow and the quickly accumulating injuries! Several more mounted worgs rush past him towards the entrance...

Back towards the rest of the party, Linar circles behind one of the goblins threatening Nocturno (who has begun chanting). The Drow swings hard, but by chance the goblin steps forward to attack the elf at the same moment! Meeting no resistance, the longsword flies from Linar's fingers and skitters across the cave floor and into the water to the East! The rogue's short sword, however, finds its mark and drops the goblin in one blow.

Echoing howls create a cacophony of sound as they ring from every direction off of the irregular natural stonework. Suddenly the party sees a quartet of mounted Worg round the corner in a somewhat disjointed stream. One of their number barks an order in goblin (Halt!) and the others struggle to contain their mounts but manage. Three of the riders wear mangey hide armor obviously made of worg pelts and bear what appear to be human-made spears rather than the crude weapons the rest of the tribe seem to have. The fourth, and obvious leader, wears splint mail made of bone and worg hide and carries a trident. He has little trouble controling his larger mount and glares at the situation ahead as he apparently decides how to proceed.

Just then Nocturno finishes his ritual with an almost feral shout of pure rage!!!
