Sitting quietly with her longsword across her lap, Angel notes the exchange between Elias and the new Elves.

"They probably don't know either.. " she muses to herself as she watches, her eyes go to the food, she hadn't eaten since breakfast, unless you count seafood and tons of seawater..

Bastian finally arives, takes in the scene around him, and immediately walks over to the elves with a big goofy grin on his face. He makes as graceful a bow as he possibly can after working the crab pots, and says, "Gi suilannon!" It may be the only elven he knows, but he's hoping it's accurate!

He then turns to the elven lady with hazel eyes, takes her hand, and kisses her knuckle. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Liri-mumble mumble" he says with a wry grin; literally saying "Mumble mumble" in mockery of Fraso's introduction.

The corners of the elven lady's mouth twitch upwards, but with a sideways glance at the other two elves, she regains her composure. "It's Liri-o-den-dra ti Co-ry-lus. And whom do I have the pleasure to meet? A follower of - Dionysus?" she asks, looking at the man's attire, not quite sure.

Angel watches the exchange between Bastian and the elf with a smile..

She had to admit the Cleric made her smile.

Bastian chuckles to himself with a slight smile. "No, not Dionysus, but the one responsible for his creativity; Liquitus. I am Brother Bastian. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance! Shall we sample some of my gods vintage?" He sweeps one arm toward the drinks table.

Liriodendra cocks her head for a moment, listening back to the "conversation" between Fraso and the other elves. Deciding that she can't learn much from it - Fraso uses too many terms she doesn't know - and having a good excuse to leave, she smiles at Bastian. "Why not?" she answers to his invitation. "I'm always open to new things. So please tell me of your God, and how you worship him."

"Dionysus uses wine and alcohol to induce his ecstasies, but the time spent actually consuming the alcohol is rather limited. It takes weeks, months, and sometimes years to get the perfect drink. It is trully an art form unto itself, from the lowliest ale brewed in the back of a stall to the finest aged liquor that is kept in vaults for years before it is allowed to be opened!" As he talks, Bastian walks toward the table and examines the drinks available. His brow furrows on occasion, though he starts to pour a small selection of drinks for sampling.

"Thus, Liquitus is the god responsible for the fermentation process itself! The end result is the drink, but he watches over patrons and vendors of the fruit of his laborsas well as loyal brewers." He takes up a glass of extremely dark red wine and sips a bit. He makes a sour face and says, "Apparently this vinter isn't entirely devout."

Taking up a slice of crusty bread he drizzles a bit of honey on it and says, "Oddly enough, Liquitus is also the god of bakers. I'm not sure why, but I think it may be the yeast." He takes a bite and smiles. "Of course he only aids those who make proper bread, not that unleavened garbage that the army forced me bake!"

Those who looked on as Bastian and Liriodendra walked over to the table will have noticed that she moves with even more grace than is customary for elves. She listens to Bastian, doing all the little niceties to show interest and make the converstion pleasant to both.

"Oh, yes, the panis militaris!" she shudders a bit. "How well I remember it! But it is still better than going hungry."

She, too, makes herself some honeyed bread and prepares herself to gracefully accept a sample drink.

Watching the exchange silently Angel sits in a corner, sheaving her sword she laughs to herself about the Bread, it was one of the better memories she had from the Legions.

Fraso had long since bored her, his explanations were too long, and unnecessary.

The conversation Fraso is involved in continues for a short time, with the senior elf, Cirin, actively participating, while the other, Cuevin, appears to grow more agitated every moment. She begins shifting her weight from foot to foot, glancing around the courtyard, and occasionally running her fingers through her hair. The incident earlier today has clearly affected her.
After a short time, one of Culla's soldiers enters the courtyard, escorting a rather strange-looking man. The newcomer is of average height but scrawny build and wears filthy trousers and a gambeson stained with rust. His hair and beard are long and matted - almost dreadlocked in appearance. At a second glance, as he turns, his appearance becomes even move bizarre. The hair on the other side of his head is cropped short in a quarter-inch buzz-cut, as is the left side of his beard, and his forehead and cheek are painted with tribal designs.

Culla speaks briefly with the newcomer and then returns to the conversation with the elves.

"My friends, Maughus has completed his search of the area, and has not found any indication of a trail leading back here." This statement earns a snort from Cuevin, and Culla is quick to add: "Nor did your own sentries see anyone, Heri Cirin, did they? I suspect that whoever entered your compound came from the wilds, not from here."

"Of course your man Maughus said so. He is your man." Cuevin replies. She glances at Maughus, who has gravitated towards the refreshments and is stuffing his face with bread and cheese and wine.

"Say what you want about him, Cuevin, but have you ever seen any indication that Maughus is capable of being dishonest out of loyalty to me?"

Cirin begins to reply hastily, then closes her mouth and throws up her hands, conceding this small point. She knows Maughus.

"Besides, friends, events are unfolding that will hopefully defuse this situation. Master Fraso has offered to take Captain Filaris' prize away from here, to turn it over the the MageGuild for research, isn't that right?"

[Jenara]

Angel stays seated, none of this concerned her, the suggestion that someone attempted to interfere with the body, (she assume) peaks her interest for a moment, but that soon passes. She shoots a sideways glance to Daos before returning to sit quietly.

Daos sits quietly, a glazed look over his eyes, as if he's barely paying attention to what's going on around him. He appears deep in thought, but over what can only be guessed. Absently, he scratches at his collar, unaware of Angel's glance.

"Perhaps as a show of unity and amity between our peoples it would be best for each half of our community to send a representative along with the necromancer's group. Wouldn't you agree, Heru Culla?" Ciric says, his tone conciliatory. "Liriodendron has indicated to me that she has a desire to travel, and I am sure that there is someone you can spare for a short time, until the captain's find reaches the Istarion."

Liriodendra takes a few steps backwards when Maughus approaches the buffet. The man's strange looks and crude manners don't appeal to her, even though her face shows nothing but polite blankness. When she hears her name, she goes back to the group with Cirin, Culla and Fraso.

Angel bored, allows her eyes to dart over for a second, the Elf was to join them?

This was suprising but not unexpected.

She goes to rise to her feet in a protective manner with a glance to Bastian, when the one called Maughus approaches the girl, but sits back down as she walks away.
