It's tough not letting a little of yourself come through in each character, a writing teacher once told me "write what you know",there is a little of me in each character I play.
He would probably be better off going to Elsa for support, as she would be better, but he's not going to react well to her I don't think.

Ah, to know ones self though haha. I'm constantly surprised by what I do(I mean in while playing, mostly, haha), it may be trite or silly, or whatever but I do enjoy the little things in life
I thought of a reason he may go to Mira, if he gets a chance to see how her success is working to her advantage he may gain a sort of respect for her or inspiration from her ... How'd you like to mentor a boozehound/bar brawler

Sounds perfect, And it might help to make her see she is actually achieving something, when he gets to see Teenage girls copying her clothing and hairstyles he'll realise she is influencing people,
Tristen, hope I got the right girls name (who's mother is an instructor) let me know if I'm wrong and I'll tweak it,

This is why I love DM-ing...
Character development.
We make these imaginary beings in our heads, we spend hours (perhaps days) fine-tuning them and trying to play them faithfully to our original intent and then?
Then they evolve. They become creatures of their own being, apart from us but still connected. They teach us about ourselves, about life, about how we might react in environments and against challenges we'll never face (I mean cmon, unless you live near Jurrasic park

). We learn about ourselves and others in these 'games' and still have fun with the interactions. The best part, to me at least, is that we can ignore uintended offenses and issues and problems because it's just a game. But we can explore ourselves and our thoughts and desires in a way that is (relatively) safe and with others whom we can grow to understand and trust...
Ok, off my soapbox and 'the sauce'...
I DM because I can't not do it... I've taken 'breaks' from D&D that lasted for up to 5 years, and I always missed it so much... not the mechanics or whatever (I can get my fix on that from the old school games or DDO or whatever) but the real RP interacting with human beings (assuming you guys aren't spambots

... you aren't, right? )... I guess in a way D&D is its own little society of 'weirdos' or what have you, but goddamnit we're FUN weirdos!
*ahem* Ok, seriously off my soapbox now...
And if you guys ever need 2e advice or have a question about a class or kit or whatever... well, frankly I think I've seen almost all of them over the last 15+ years of DMing and playing and reading... there are very few resources I haven't dug into (mostly because they stopped making them and my lazy ass caught up) so Ask/pose anything to me and I will search to the limit to help you guys find it because... I guess I'm just an obsessive freak like that

and, god help me, I like you guys (and gals if that term offends anyone

)

Big like to this one,
And no, I'm not a spambot, although i do remember years ago someone suggested I was a seriously obese male (some members here can attest that isn't true)..
Mira is a little of me (I actually play guitar and write, I also used to sing) and a little of the person perhaps I wish I were...

lol, let's test the limits of this 'clever AI'... I mean, how clever can it be if it's playing a Kender

I kidd because I care

Lol lets!
You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?
Elsa is gonna bite it just when Pyros figures out she is going after him then he will shatter... I feel like he doesn't take hints well.

2! I almost cried... lol I had a restoration scroll for 1 level.
Undead ex-wife... I have a friend with one of those...

I don't think I could pull off robot well. And we can't lose our only healer, she is wayyyy to important. Yasir will need her, I think.
