Bryce takes a few moments to search the frontmost pew on his side of the aisle. At first it seems exactly as the rest, but then he notices a strange seal beneath the edge of the underside of the lid. It seems designed to either keep something like air or liquid out, or inside...
Van moves to the far side of the wall and proceeds towards the front of the chapel. Rather than stepping in front od the altar, he hops the short railing to pass beyond the seating area and begins to examine the skeleton. It is unclear what killed the humanoid, only that everything (flesh, skin, cloth, leather, etc) has rotted away save for a chain shirt which is tarnished beyond use.

"Maybe there is something under the poor dude." Galan intervenes.

Tabbi will open her pew if she finds no traps.

Tabbi opens her pew to reveal a similar number of electrum coins, and leaving only the two front pews unopened.

Tabbi begins scooping coins up in Zafron's bag of holding, but soon realizes she cannot fit them all!
Checking the front row pew on her side, she finds a seal all the way around beneath the lid; similar to the oone Bryce discovered on the other front row pew. It appears designed to either keep something out, or to keep something in. There seems to be no way to open the pew without compromising the seal...

[Time is 5:10 pm] day 1
Zafron's bag of holding has a 250 lb capacity, and 31 lbs of stuff already in it
In my games i usually say coins are 50/lb
there are 8,000 sp 6,000 ep, 4,000 gp [160, 120, 80 lbs]

If Van sees it is full, he will toss his bag to her.
"Can't leave any of those behind deary."
Is Van able to see the floor beneath the skeleton?
He will not move it if he can. If he cannot, he will call Bryce over to check it over for any boobytraps first.

Van scoops the remaiming coins into his bag, before going to inspect the skeleton.
The floor can be seen beneath the bones aside from the portion beneath the blackened chainmail. It all looks like the rest of the floor in this area

"Maybe there is some round device on the altar. What was that with the wise don't have to sacrifice blood?"

"Bryce what do you want to do with this seal?" says Tabbi.
"How are we going to carry all this treasure?"

Bryce addresses Tabbi "I'd leave it alone unless there is no other option. As far as the treasure goes, if you feel you need to take some I'd advise small high value items that you can turn around quickly. Mass quantities of coin are more of a deal with it later if able kind of thing in my opinion. He walks over to Van "Find out anything interesting? Galan might be onto something with the alter there. Not that I'm in a rush to tangle with it again" He gives the alter a suspicious look before turning back to Van.

"Maybe we should leave the altar for last, since it is the most obvious feature. I am also not in a hurry to leap through this portal, while other options for exploration exist."

Zafron says, "We should take as much treasure as possible and head back to investigate the other tunnel. Maybe we can find the key that will activate the gears in the wall."

Galan listens to the conversation and just plays a mysterious tune, fitting the exploration mood in the room.

"Well let's scoop these coins and head back to the hall. Shall we leave some markings on what we have discovered here?"
