When Shearsea sees Gunter preparing to come to her, she moves her arms and sings something.

Indeed, after a few minutes, once again triangular dorsal fins appear, but they are less curved than the dolphins' she summoned the day before. As soon as they enter the bay, the two seacats erupt from behind and beneath the rock Shearsea is chained to an pursue them, who flee into the open ocean.

The waters have now retreated enough that Gunter will be chest-deep in the water at the deepest (and narrowest) point.

Seeing this happening, Gunter takes a deep breath, hefts his battle axe and begins to wade out towards to triton to try and free it.

Under his breath he mutters, "See the world they said...become an adventurer they said..."

Gunter finds it is no problem to reach the rock Shearsea sits on. She moves aside for him and points to the chain that links a shackle on her left ankle to a ring in the rock, where it is secured by a padlock. The chain is sturdy enough to withstand any attempt of the unarmed triton to destroy it, but a few blows with the battle axe should be able to break it.

Brax stands by the side of the water, a hand on her mace, "I hope this works out well." She comments to Searos.

Without a word, Gunter goes to work on the chain with his axe.

(Do I need to roll at all?)

Vee has listened the conversation between Brax, Gunter and the Triton sitting in the sand of the Bay. In HER opinion it wasn't a good idea to trust this fish-...whatever. She seems to bee completely uninterested in the things which happens right before her, like Gunter going to free the Triton. But she glances to the sea out of the corner of her eye, and what annoys her really, is that Gunter has some adventure and she's sitting here just because her own stubborn head... Of corse her Staff lies right next to her so she can jump into the water whenever it will be necessary.

(OOC @ Robbo: The rolls would only decide how many blows are needed and how much time Gunter would need to re-sharpen the axe, so we can spare them)

When the chain is severed, the triton throws her arms around Gunter for a quick hug and a breathless "thank you", then dives into the waters.

Gunter yells after her as she dives into the water.

"Wait! Do you know what happened to the people who's clothes washed ahore?"

"She is free." Brax comments, moving near Vee, "And we still don't know what happened here."

For a number of minutes, the young triton princess frolicks in the bay, then she swims ashore with powerful movements, landing where Brax stands (Brax being the one she knows she can communicate with). She waits for the group to gather.

They can see her more clearly now. She looks almost human, save for her blue-green hair and milky white skin, and of course her big webbed feet and partly webbed hands (the web reaches the middle of her fingers). Her water blue eyes and violet blue lips convey a grateful smile. She is nearly naked, wearing no more than something like a seaweed loincloth, but seems completely oblivious to her striking beauty.

Having spent most of her life surrounded by naked bodies brax does not react to her almost nakedness.

Raising a hand she gives Shearsea a smile and reaches forward in the offer of an embrace.

"I am glad you are free." she says in elven. "My friends were angry because they felt you lured them into a trap. But that is over.."

"We were sent here to discover what happened to those who were lost here, were they captured by the trap like we were? Or do you know of other humans who might be here?" laughing a little she adds. "Where are my manners I am Celandra, and these are my friends." she introduces the party in turn.

Shearsea gives a smile and a friendly "hello" to each of the party members in turn, trying to pronounce their names correctly. The princess in her is obvious from her graceful manners and friendly smile.

Once the introductions are done, she looks ar Brax, then lowers her head. "I am afraid your friends were right. The sea hag forced me to lure passersby into a trap so she and her pets could feed on them instead of me. No one has survived so far" she says in a quiet voice. "But now that you have freed me, those times are over, and the passages are safe once more. The sea cats will return, they have young in the caves below the bay. But they will probably move on once they find less food here.

The sea hag has taken all valulables from her victims, they are in a hoard in the caves below the bay" Sharsea goes on. "My own treasures are there, too. I cannot retrieve them alone because of the young sea cats. Will you help me once more?"

Brax relays all of this to the group and nods slowly at the suggestion of helping her. "I am somewhat injured from our last encounter, would you be happy to wait with us while i finish healing myself and my friends?"

"We have tents nearby, and could offer food if you need some. That reminds me, are you injured?" Looking to the rest of the group she waits to see what they have to say.

"Are these caverns below the water?" she adds as am afterthought.

Shearsea looks down at her ankle where the shackle is still fixed. "This thing has chafed me a little, I would be grateful if any of you could remove it. It is quite a way to get back to my people's realms, and it hinders my swimming. Otherwise, I am not physically hurt.

Thank you for your offer of food, but I can get what I need from the sea. And if your tents are up there where you came down from, I do not think I can walk up there"
she says, spreading her large, webbed feet (Remember the path is too narrow to take the mules down).

"And yes, the cavern entrances are below the water, but the caverns themselves have air."

"In that case, I will rest by the shore." She replies "Allow me to collect my bedroll and I will rest under the stars. "Will you join me Vee?" She asks the young girl.

Leaning down she takes the shakles in her hands, pulling it hard she strains but fails to open it.

"Searos?" She asks, looking up at the Thief.
