Chapter 2A - A Jaunt Into The Country

"Smells good Val. About ready?" If Isaril isn't present Vic will go get his attention.

[counterkid]

Val will set the table and wait for everyone to join before starting to eat.

[Squirrellord]

Unbar comes and joins his companions. "The wood I found that would suit bridging the gap will neither be easy nor quick to remove. If anyone has any other ideas lets hear 'em.

[Nocturno]

"Our elf friend had an idea."

[Squirrellord]

"Really? Let's not be shy. Someone share with the dwarf". Unbar looks around at the others.

If Vic translates then Isaril, without looking up from his bowl of stew, says in elven, "Rope."
Otherwise he just doesn't look up from his bowl of stew.

Ah he is there ok.

(Which is to say the gap can be resonably esily be spanned with a couple of ropes, then merely requiring a relativel simple skill check to cross).

Vic will continue to partake in the food and drink. Translating for anyone who wishes to converse.

He will bring up the info from the goblin. And try to scheme up some ideas through conversation with the group.

Also trying to figure out some ideas on where the residents could have fled to.

"Ropes" Unbar grunts, "Have a way to secure 'em on both sides?" he questions as he tucks into the food.

"Grappling hook one end and tie a knot at the other would work," chips in the red headed human woman that's emerged from the bedroom upstairs. It's unclear how long she's been listening from the doorway. She moves silently as a syvan elf on a hunt.

Translating as they go Vic will continue with the conversation.

"Sounds easier and faster than the boards. Once it gets dark we should see if any lights show in the Keep."

"After we are done eating we should prepare for a good night sleep." "What do you think if we have a good of campfire." "I remember the good time I had with my good old friend Evenwood and his family." "I'm sure some of you must have some good memories of campfires."

Isaril throws into the conversation ,"There were heads bobbing along the top of the castle."

The red headed girl, Kella, helps herself to some stew. "Hmmm this is good. Compliments."

[Nocturno]

"I never really found myself around a camp fire. It was the city life, and nose in the book and such."

After Vic finishes his bowl of stew he will ask for an escourt to check the wall for light.
